Im not putting them in that discussion yet and if they lose to that Texans team it isn’t anything to be ashamed by, they are good. Looking at early results especially when we learned today that FC Dallas Blue has the 3rd hardest schedule is short sighted. Conversely their internal club rival FC youth ( your team) has had the 5th easiest.

Looking at their schedule, they have FCD Academy coming up in two weeks. So by mid-October Che would have already played 4 of the top 5 along with LP Owen, Ayses, and Elite United.

Re: U11 Classic D1
No way Rebels are #2, at least not yet, they have one player up top who is real good and they play kick ball over the top without ever even going through the midfield. The bigger, physical and speedier teams should be okay against that attack.
Look at their results- they have only played two of the top five teams in the past- lost and won to Texans Red and lost to Rush. They have not played other Texans or Solar Mckinney or FCD Academy. Time will tell but they are not battle tested as of yet. They have only beat ayses, Tigres and ETX Wildcatters to start the season.

Re: U11 Classic D1
Exactly. I’m confused how people that say they follow this stuff are stating some of these teams being goog dn Ongrat when they haven't played the tough teams.
If I had to rank em in D1 it’s
FC Dallas academy in a class of their own (even with that solar upset)
A few notches below are the two texan teams at 2/3 then mckinney
Then maybe the rebels can earn this spot that used to be locked up by elite United if they start beating the teams above them.
Then another drop off to a bunch teams with a variety of growing pains that can beat each other at any given meeting and no way to rank them this early.
Then the few teams that probably didn’t deserve to make d1 and it’s going to be a rough year for.

The irony of the Rebels being even considered for the 1 ranking is that the core of that team used to be an Arlington area team, no? The Coblitas team?

Re: U11 Classic D1
I wouldn't put too much weight into this "strength of schedule" excuse we are giving many of the teams. Teams have to play what's in front of them. Sure, some opponents will be very tough... but the teams have to show up and play. As we saw this weekend with FCD Academy, nothing is set in stone and the rankings don't help you on the pitch. I you don't play well, you'll get beat and even upset by a lower ranked team.
I couldn't agree more with this statement. I'd like to see them play some stronger competition before crowning to be legit. I watched them play AYSES... and I wasn't impressed at all with their brand of kickball. The kids are bigger that most, but their isn't a ton of technical ability or skills there (based on 2 games that I've watched them). They can certainly be beat by any of the top 5 teams, so time will tell us who they really are. Great start to the season ...see my rankings
1. FCD Academy
2. TXN Red
3. Solar McKinney (the only team post 07/01 who has proven they can beat FCDA..LOL)
4. Rebels (They can climb higher after playing the top 10 on this list, for now they don't deserve to be higher)
4. TXN Dallas
6. Solar Kennington
7. Allegiance
7. FCD Youth
9. LP Owen
10. NTX Celtic
11. ETX Wildcatters
12. Ayses
13. FCD Blue
14. Elite . (I believe that their biggest mistake was giving their talented forward a transfer to Allegiance)
15. FCD West Blue
16. Fever
17. TXN South
18. FCD ETX
19. LP St John
20. Tigres ( I now fully believe their strategy has been to focus on their D2 roster )

actually, we are not one of the offended teams. like I said in the past, let's stick to predicting games, not judging 10 year olds. every kid and team played the same system to.get into classic. if they made it, then they deserve it. nothing personal homie, all good.

I thought Dallassoccerdad's assessment was dead on. Hard to give Rebels the #2 spot until they beat a top team.
Here's mine:
1. FCD Academy
2/3. TXN Red (TXN teams in no particular order)
2/3. TXN Dallas
4. Solar McKinney
5. Rebels
6/7. Solar Kennington
6/7. LP Owen
Both TXN teams have played well and deserve to be 2/3 until they lose.
McKinney and LP Owen have had some instability on the field recently, however both are very talented teams and play good soccer (a little too direct for me, but there isn't one way to play the game). I expect them both to continue on winning for the foreseeable future. Could easily make an argument for a 3 way tie for 5/6/7 with McKinney/LP Owen/Kennington, however giving McKinney the bump due to a strong showing against FCD Academy.
The good news is we have some great talent at the 07 age group!

For what it's worth, the Rebels have beat your number 2/3 (Txn Red) twice and they did it in the same tournament.
I think we're all aware how tough it is to beat a team twice in one tournament.
I agree they shouldn't be #2 but you can't say they haven't played/beat a top team.

Then the few teams that probably didn’t deserve to make d1 and it’s going to be a rough year for.
please share your qualifications with the group. you seem to know a whole lot about soccer and who deserves to be where.
C'mon Just-a-dad...
Dallassoccerdad weekly prediction scores really reflect his high knowledge of the local soccer landscape...
PS: before you respond...please note I'm just being sarcastic here...

Re: U11 Classic D1
The Rebels are a big fast team, no doubt. But they are beatable by teams that play patient, tactically proficient defense.
They'll outmatch most teams on pure athleticism but they will struggle against the top teams that know how to defend and attack as a team.
It's why Rush beat them and DTR has lost twice to them. DTR typically plays with a two back set, throws everyone forward in their attack, and if you get behind their midfield, you are going to have a chance to be successful. Rebels style of play allows them to do that. Rebels also don't send as many forward so their defense tends to hold up better to DTR style attacks.
DTR will likely continue to struggle against them.
Not top 2 but capable of beating any of the top teams on an off day 5th behind FCDA, DTR, DTD, and McKinney is probably right with LP Owen and Kennington just behind them.

I’m also sorry I offended your child’s team.
actually, we are not one of the offended teams. like I said in the past, let's stick to predicting games, not judging 10 year olds. every kid and team played the same system to.get into classic. if they made it, then they deserve it. nothing personal homie, all good.
Yes, they had beaten TXN Red pre-select in May. I was only taking in consideration of games played since Select signing. Not saying Rebels doesn't deserve the #2 spot, or that they are not the #2 team, just saying I'm holding off giving it to them until they play some stronger competition. Just think TXN teams have gotten it done recently and deserve that 2/3 spot for now.
only time will tell.
