I'm not familiar with the tournament... What is wrong with it? Teams? Facilities?

blond bomber, there is nothing wrong with it at all, just because its not in north dallas doesn't mean its no good....my advice is to go out and judge for yourself...after all is it every really a waste of time if your player is touching the ball

I found the sports complex to be nice and the field in great shape. Games were on schedule and the refs were capable.

Re: Chisholm Trail Classic Soccer Tournament
My son played there two years ago and is going back this year -- with a different team. I remember a good competitive atmosphere with fields that were well cared for. I also enjoyed the small town.
As for being windy......Come on - this is Texas! It is usually windy in North Texas, on a soccer field, whether Frisco, Plano, Richardson, Arlington, or Cleburne.

Re: Chisholm Trail Classic Soccer Tournament
Just got back from Cleburne.
My experience included: Easy check-in Friday night, capable referees (did not care for one particular AR's style), nice fields, quick score updates by text, hot sun, and Texas wind. Basically what I expected to experience. I'd take a team back again.

The boys competed well, but came up short. We scored in each game, but we need some work on defense!
How about your BB? I had hoped to take in one of your games, but it was all I could do to keep up with my boys.

It was better than I expected after the chat on here expected cow pastures. Fields were good and refs were good.

I agree that the facilities were nice and the games were called consistantly within the game. I agree there was one AR that had his own style but still consistant throughout the game. Well done Cleburne.

It was a nice tournament last year and looks to have been a success again this year.

Agreed. Our only complaint is that one of our players suffered a broken arm yesterday, and the first aid area didn't have so much as a bandage or tape to stabilize it... just ice. They may need to stock up better next year.

Re: Chisholm Trail Classic Soccer Tournament
yea one short most of the game and at one point another player had to sit out for like 20 min he felt dizzy and then my kiddo struggled badly with his asthma all weekend long and expecially the final but he showed his warrior spirit according to the coach and refused to sit out knowing although he wasnt producing much(those with asthmatic kids knows what its like to suffer from an attack) would not leave his team another player down00dad wrote:the last one, even short I thought they preformed well....
