Congrats to Solar Chelsea McDaniel. Great showing.

Just looking at the scores (including v Angeles) it seems like the finals against Warryors would have been a closer game. What happened in that game?

But again congrats to Solar CM and the other teams. Looked like a very competitive group. Cool to see a team from Mexico come up for it too.

Not sure, but I heard a little bit of cheating was happening? Again that's just what I heard.... Can anyone give details?

I assume that's not a reference to the Solar team as they have been around a long time and I would assume they are all of legitimate age. Even though a few of them play like they're 10! :-)

Well absolutely it will be a very physical and tough team if you have older boys playing against U8's but then again leave it up to the Proud coaches and Parents for allowing this to happen....

Hmm, I saw the Solar team playing and I do not recall seeing any players that were too old. They looked legit to me. So, I guess you are referencing some other team?

Warryors 4 Angeles 1
Solar 8 Warryors 0

8 year olds are inconsistent. But that's odd.

Warryors almost got DQed in the semifinal game vs Angeles. They played the entire first half with an extra player on the field. 1-0 Warryors at half. Played even sides second half. 5-4 Warryors final at regulation. Protest ensued, and tourney allowed Warryors to play 2 15 minute halves and a Shootout if necessary or take the DQ. Warryors initially refused, then changed their mind and played the two extra halves. Warryors won 4-1. Funny thing was I heard parents saying U90C was picking on them because they were "Mexican". They were playing the Angeles from Monterrey though?!?! Smile

Seems like the CR should have noticed that. SC is an excellent team, but its odd that they Solar beat them so badly in the final after the Warryors played Angeles so well -- twice apparently.

I agree. They played 2 30 minute halves, then a slight break when chaos ensued. Then played 2 15 minute halves. An hour or so break, then played a decently fresh Solar team. I would say that could be the biggest contributing factor.

Not too sure..but don't understand how you can play 3 group play games, then forget how many players you're supposed to have on the field come Semifinals?
