Azzurri will be having open practice starting next week(June 2-4) at Celebration Park in Allen 5:30-7 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  Come try out for a team that has a great core of players with a coach that teaches a possession style of play.  Results speak for themselves.  Going from being seeded 54th in the Classic qualifier to working their way up to Classic II has been a great ride for the team.

Core of the team has been together for 3+ seasons.

We will be playing in Classic DII this next season.

Come see the difference and with no club fees.

Tournaments coming up:
Dallas Super Copa June 6-8.
King Tut July 18-20

This is a great team that plays soccer the right way.  Saw them play this weekend in the AFC Challenge and played some really good soccer.  My son has played for Coach Al in various venues and he is a great guy and teaches the team to keep the ball, play it quick, on the ground and use spacing and angles to attack a defense.  A Classic D2 team with no club fees seems crazy in this day and age.

Predict these guys will be in D1 in a year.

Thanks for the kind words about our coach and team Sprint. I have enjoyed watching you son over the years and wish him the best in PA. I find it amazing that there will be so much movement among the D1 teams come June. Teams moving clubs, teams completely rebuilding, and teams folding. I am guessing that Classic might have to move up some teams if teams fold or can not fill a team. Going to be interesting. We have avoided drama over the years mostly because of the cost our parents pay. No coaching or club fees is a little crazy... Best of luck.

JT

Just a reminder that open practice starts tomorrow 5:30-7 at Celebration Park in Allen continued through Wednesday.  We will have all our coaches there to run the open practice including our skills coach, goalie coach, and head coach.

Open Practice June 2-4 5:30-7 at Celebration Park.

I have seen practices for multiple clubs, and you won't get the footwork drills and passing drills at any of the big clubs that you get with Al and Azzurri. The core of the team has been together for multiple seasons. Others played D1 together before joining the club. Great kids, parents and coaching, in my opinion.

You assume to much senior.  Just because someone pays club fees, coaches fees, etc., does not mean their will be drama.  I imagine your team like all has its fair share of drama.  My worry with an independent team is whether it will be around next year or be cobbled up by one of the big clubs (FCD, DTXN, LIVERPOOL or SOLAR).  -DL

Better question is what happens to the coach when his son opts to play for Andro PA? He played both last season. Will dad still coach and have the same passion when/if his son leaves? Will the team be scooped up as mentioned above in order to get his son on the PA team of one of the bigger clubs? Who knows. The best intentioned have plans change or altered as things evolve.

Even with a bigger club, there are no guarantees that your son's coach will be around next year.  Sometimes they even try to take the team to another club and the team falls apart because they can't get the 75%.  Bigger clubs also no guarantee that you will find a spot on another team within the club.  Most of the big clubs are a loose coalition of teams under one brand name.

As an independent it has not always been easy but that makes it so much better for what has been accomplished.  No one knows what the future holds but how many ppl can say they are with the same team and club for 3+ years?

Bring your son out and see how we are, you might be surprised.
