Can the groups for this tournament be final? If so the boat was really missed. Arguably the 4 weakest teams are in the same group with Texans Castro, Andromeda, Oglesby, FCD Gold and Gomez 5 of the 6 in the other two groups. Throw in Fever Red as the 6th team because they are a good team as well that could surprise.

Not sure if it's "final", but the schedules have already been released.

Just looked at the schedule and seeding is definitely a head scratcher. Probably unintentional but it is clear the tourney organizers do not know the 06B age group very well. Would be nice if they did some research. Arguably, five of the best teams are in brackets B and C. If the wildcard comes from bracket A, only two of those five teams make the semi's.

Regardless, anybody up for predictions? It's been a long winter and I'm sure there has been much change in the age group. According to the forecast, weather may win out on this one.

My "money" is on the weather winning -- after we get in enough games to avoid a refund. http://www.primetimesportz.com/soccer/rules/#Rain

But I think everyone is hoping to get some games in before the super copa qualifier next week. Maybe it will work out.

I do think that A bracket may be tougher than it looks. Texans South usually have good teams, and their results look solid. FCD Blue links to the FCD red page on Got Soccer, so who knows whether that is some variation of FCD JT. If so, another good team. The other Texans team also has some talent, but we have only seen them on the futsal court.

That said, B and C are very tough brackets. No easy games.

I was sorely disappointed in how this tournament was seeded and scored. If the tournament had played out entirely there was a good chance that 2 top quality teams would have missed the playoffs, 2 average team make the playoffs, and one team defeating all the teams and their bracket and still not make the playoffs. The seeding was atrocious.

I could go on about the refs but until we get into Select this age get's the bottom of the barrel refs. What, pray-tell, is a bottom of the barrel ref? A ref who makes calls based on the parent's reaction. Call the game and quit listening to the parents!!

Coach Dom has been good in the past with rankings and brackets but he sorely missed it this time. I can't blame him for the refs but stacking the brackets like he did seemed very odd.
