Is anyone familiar with what happened here? Looking at the Memorial Day tournament they're registered as Solar Blue95 (Formerly FWU Gold)

I think it is just a sign of how FWU is going down the tubes. I have friends over there and nothing but bad news is coming from that club. Where does FWU rank among clubs on the west side of the metroplex?

Which Memorial Day tournament are you talking about? Just checked the Memorial Day tournament schedule and did not see FWU or Solar Blue anywhere.

Just another of the big clubs getting bigger. A bunch of kids and parents will be disappionted after tryouts and their kids no longer play for the team. Solar got a sweet deal. Got there hands on the buy before they had to commit to keeping 75% of the players for next year. Now Solar can just keep the few with the ability and replace the rest with the kids they want. Oh well I guess what comes around goes around. Can't wait to see the roster after tryouts. My guess is that we will have a bunch of little BBs scrambling to find a team when they find out the team no longer requires them. Hope the parents got some promises in writing.

Classic league rule says to keep the bye, they must keep 75% since the move occurred after Jan 1

Solar Blue ended up keeping all of their players except one (due to injury) and picked up two new kids! and after their performance in Ayses Texas Summer Classic they seem to be doing really well under that new coach, and they practice at Dunlap Park where the Solar Red teams train

Were there other changes to this team or are they still mostly the FWU team? They are in 1st place with a couple of wins against strong Ayses and ASG Gold West teams. Looks like this was a good move for the boys.

We picked up 2 players that played for FWFC and 1 that played for the Chivas last year. Other than that, it is the same team. The boys are playing well and all of us are very proud of them.
