D1 Predictions? Rumors? Any good jokes or stories over the summer (be nice )?

I think Gall VS Che looks like the match of the week.

Should D1 be just DALLAS TEXANS SC 04B DALLAS (ROUDAKI), SOLAR CHELSEA SC 04B RED (DE LEON), FC DALLAS YOUTH 04B PREMIER (GOMEZ), SOLAR CHELSEA SC 04B (FARLEY) and FC DALLAS YOUTH 04B GOLD (GALL)? and the rest D1B?

No. Solar Chelsea Red (DE LEON) is the only team that can't be touched unless you play a perfect game and they play their worst game of the season!!! The rest of them are beatable.

Texans aka Galacticos played Rayos which should be in D2.
Solar Farley barely beat Hammers
FCD Gall could beat or lose to anyone but the bottom two teams.
FCD Premier. Should they be the premier team with FCD Gall in the picture?
Rayos won't win a game all year
Hammers need to regroup as they are coming from bad form of poor results at PLD tournament.
FC Premier could suprise depending on how they show up to play.
FCD Che is another dark horse!
DTS if they get together they could be top table team. Not top 2 but top 4!

Can anyone tell me how the Rayos made it into D1 - what happened to Rangel? Thanks.

Not sure of circumstances, but FCD South fell apart right at Aug 1st as most teams had finalized their roster changes and had a good view of what level they needed to be playing at for the coming year.  The D1 slot was offered to FCD Borgarello (11th place in D1 last year) and Titans (12th), and both passed.  Rayos (13th) accepted.

A couple of the strong Rangel players have ended up on FCD Central (Waters) and have helped Central get some good results in PLD and first 2 weeks of D2 season.

Just to clear up FCD Central Waters did not pick up any Rangel players.

My fault - I thought I recognized a couple of the kids from Rangel's team last year, #5 in particular.

04s have been very quiet lately. We're 5 rounds in -- anyone surprised by anything? Any updated predictions? D1, D2, or D3 - any armchair analysts out there?

We are done for now but even this past weekend we still had some surprises! Seems like there will be some shuffling for spring...

I am starting to see these games as not really surprises as it seems there are a few teams at the top that appear to be stronger than the rest, but any team in D1 can really jump up and beat any other team on a given day. There may be only one or two games where the opponents are outmatched with the rest of the games being close and could go either way. Lots of parity this season.

It will be a fun Spring before all of it blows up in June.

Yes, June is going to be a little crazy I think. I know some teams are already mixing practices between old 04's and 03's and old 05's with 04's but I still think it will be a mess for a while with some kids in limbo. I guess we just wait and stay cool

I agree Sprint. D1 and D2 both seem to have had some good competitive balance, with a 1st place team creating a little separation but some good competition in the standings between 1st and 7th place.  Both divisions look to have 3 teams that are in biggest danger of a relegation scrap.  

In D2, there has been a lot of Team A beating Team B who beat Team C who beat Team A.  7th place team is as close to 2nd place as they are to 8th place.  D1 has definitely had some surprises as well, which hopefully bodes well for interesting competition in both divisions in the spring.

Like I said before. It's the top 4 teams (maybe 3) then all the rest. The top teams play as a team, the remainder have one or two playmakers and the rest are bumpers for the talent to navigate through like a pachinko game to get to the goal. It's hard and also random, thus why A beats B and B beats C and C beats A. Unfortunately...

unfortunately some went to Texans Hernandez and Hassan, Hammers, Leon Fc, Solar and Liverpool

The season is over and it was a very close ending. Solar Red and Texans played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday with Solar Red coming out on top for D1 Championship. Top five were:

1. Solar Red
2. Dallas Texans
3. FCD Gall
4. Solar Farley
5. FCD Premiere.

State Cup and Supercopa up next for the top 4 teams in that group.

In D2, FCD Borgerllo won the league and Liverpool got second to both get promoted to D1 for the 03 division next year.

D3, Solar Adame and AZZURRI get promoted to D3. Got to hand it to Azzurri and Coach Al Beaney, the master tactition and all around great guy and coach for getting Azzurri to D2. Great season.

After State Cup its musical chairs for age pure, DA, and any of a number of other reasons for kids to change teams.

And there was still a lot to play for that last game of the season . Texans Hernandez beat Solar Farley giving the Texans the 8th place to stay in D1 and dropping Farley to 4th and Hammers to D2.
I wonder how many of this teams will still stay together with the pure age format...

I predict zero teams in D1 will stay the same. New kids coming down from current CL 03 teams, 04by kids going down to CL 04 age pure teams for next year, some kids going to DA03 and DA04.

Too much movement for any teams to stay the same.

This game looked exciting from a distance. The crowds were large and loud and surrounded the field. As game went on I couldn't help but watch because of crowd noise. Solar looked like the better team to me. Congrats to all the boys who won classic.
