World Cup Group A Highlights Empty Re: World Cup Group A Highlights

I wore my Mexico jersey today in a pre-celebration of winning Group A. Ooops! Mexico got away from the formula that got them through qualifying and into the WC. The should have started Javier Hernandez, then subbed in Blanco midway into the second half. He can't hold the middle and serve the offense for an entire game, but he is brilliant late in the match. Mexico fielded a great team this year with young talent and senior leadership. I blame this loss on the Aguirre.

Disapointing result for Mexico, I agree about Blanco, he should not be a starting player, Chicharito should be playing instead of Franco, Guardado should be playing the whole game and so should Barrera.
And I am not convinced with PĂ©rez at goal.
But, looking ahead, a tough game against Argentina with the possibility of payback for 2006.

I listened to the France v South Africa match because I knew there was going to be more drama there.... ( boy that was true too)... but I had the Mexico game going on the gamecast... Is Uruguay really that strong right now? or was Mexico just out of sorts...

I don't envy Mexico dealing with Argentina...

Uruguay won Group A. They earned it and deserve the results. However, I still believe Mexico was the best team in that group this year. I agree with TP, the coach mismanaged the lineup, and it's going to cost them advancement beyond the next round.
