UIL Rules
Hello,
I was wondering what the UIL rules on aggregate yellow cards are.
How many yellow cards before a player must sit out a game?
Once a player has sat out a game, how many more before he must sit again?
Also, is there somewhere one can go to read the rules without having to pay money to NFHS?
Thanks in advance.

Re: UIL Rules
Card point system detailed on pages 24 and 25 of the UIL Soccer Manual:
http://www.uiltexas.org/files/athletics/manuals/Soccer_Manual_16.pdf
1 point for a yellow, 5 for a red, with a limit of 5 points per game.
every 5 points accumulated incurs an increasingly severe penalty - 5 points gets a single-game suspension, the second set of 5 points gets a 2-game suspension, the 3rd a 3-game suspension, and so on.
of note, if you earn a red card for a second yellow card in a game, 5 points for the game and you sit out the next, so don't get 2 yellows in game. spread them out and 5 total costs a game.
NFHS rule change powerpoints are readily available on the internet, but the official full manuals are hardcopies or $5.99 on Amazon and itunes. google "2015-16 nfhs soccer rules book pdf" and you may see a bootleg copy of last year's book, but of course, not endorsing this.
