93's The Old Days
But I do miss the humor. The 93 group had some good comedians at one time.

Lets just bring up the ASG / FCD South / FCD Blue situation from a few years ago and see what happens...

Glad to see you're still around Prism.
Just the mention of the ASG/FCD/FCD threesome brought a smile to my face. If any of those parents are still out there, they'll probably ream me for thinking that whole affair was funny. It was funny if you weren't involved.

We were at practice the other day and began reminiscing about the good old days and the ASG/FC Dallas situation came up. That is to funny! Anyone remember Luv Futbol? Believe it or not he is still around!

Re: 93's The Old Days
For those who weren't around during that disaster, we need someone from all three sides to provide their side of the story. Especially the FCD Blue side of things.

Re: 93's The Old Days
I don't think there was ever anyone (vocal) from the FCDallas Blue side. They got shafted in the whole deal, especially by their own club. I don't remember anyone on Turf ever representing them either. I know ASG and FCDallas South don't exist anymore. Doesn't look like FCDallas Blue is still around either.timber wrote:For those who weren't around during that disaster, we need someone from all three sides to provide their side of the story. Actually, Triumph is still around. They just challenged back into CL from Plano. They will be playing D3 this year.Prism wrote:I was going through my old Manager stuff...cleaning house, and found a printout of the final rankings from U11 year for the 93's...interesting list:

Re: 93's The Old Days
Yes and dont be surprised if we finish well in D3. Its a shame the individual didn't do his homework as we have been around since U11 and after the U13 rebuilding year we have steadily improved each year and have a really strong squad now. If anybody had taken their time to check out our record they would realise we didn't lose a game in Plano (funny enough last year was the strongest the Division ever has been) we went through challenge winning all our games and without letting in a goal and yet we are written off as one word GONE!dreambig wrote:Actually, Triumph is still around. Re: 93's The Old Days
Congrats on sticking around, I guess. And good luck this year...although with 5 brand new teams to D3 not sure how strong the division will be. I will add another correction...NTx Strikers Blue became Longhorns and are still alive and well... Longhorns became ASG...and, well, lets not stir that one up again.cityslicker61 wrote:Yes and dont be surprised if we finish well in D3. Re: 93's The Old Days
Does anyone remember that Arlngton Cyclones to Solar Merge. I kow this one will bring back some of the comedians. Since they have actually stayed in D1 for two years, and are in 3rd right now in D1, and they could of been in second if they didn't lose to that Strrong Dallas Texans Red West team today. Man, things have changed quite a bit.

Re: 93's The Old Days
They have been a bit of a surprise this year...but still think in the end the Tejanos will be on top of the heap...and the next 5 will finish the fall within a point of each other. So dang hard to figure out the Fall Standings with all the rain-outs...I know the PL teams are barely halfway through the fall schedule.Everton Fan wrote:Does anyone remember that Arlngton Cyclones to Solar Merge. Dallas Cup will be interesting...could be several new participants this year.

I dont know the Texans red west team could shock some people, but tejanos do have the stronger squad, with far best results. But still yet to play the top teams.

It was definitely fun stuff to follow. The 93 group was dynamic for sure.
All the best to your boys going into their final CL/AL year!

I made a comment the other night out at PHP, watching the BBs last game at DC...that I remember all those "old" posters on TM telling us to enjoy it because before long it would be over...and now it is over!

Yep is looks to be over for my 94 (he played up with the 93's). I was in a similar situation at the DC watching what is likely the end of his club soccer career.

Just another reminder that we always take things for granted and don't just sit back and enjoy the ride. And my '96 is hanging it up to focus on Golf...so I guess I will be spending those sunny weekends at the golf course!
Wondering which is more money...golf or select soccer??? How much golf - lessons, equipment, course-time, etc - can you get for $3000 year?
Oh, well. It was a lot of fun! Great parents, kids, and coaches...Gordon Hill, Darren Hedges, Chas Bradley (RIP!), Mike Uremovich, Marco Ferruzi, and Patrick Shamu...thanks!!!
