Region III Championships

Good luck and safe travels to all of the North Texas teams participating in Regionals in Greenville, SC starting Friday. Bring those medals back to the metroplex.

Pretty good results in bracket play.  Out of 14 North Texas teams participating, 9 advanced out of bracket play.  

U13--3 teams in, 0 advanced
U14--3 teams in, all 3 advanced (2 bracket winners and a bracket runner up)
U15--1 team in, 1 team advanced
U16--3 teams in, 1 team advanced (all 3 teams were placed in the same bracket)
U17--2 teams in, 2 teams advanced as bracket winners
U18--1 team in, 1 team advanced as bracket winner
U19--1 team in, 1 team advanced

Lets go NTX boys!

U17 was looking pretty good until today, with both North Texas teams still in the hunt. CASL scored early and defended about 88 minutes to hold off FCD 1-0. Solar just didn't have it today. After scoring 13 for and 0 against in pool play, they could not find the net but CESA found 3 second chances on set pieces and buried all 3. On to Nationals next month for Solar.

You guys did great man!! You did not need it anyway....Time to gear up for Nationals!!!

LP is out, too. Defeated 3-1 from CASL.

Andromeda 00 Red lost in the final to Concorde Fire Elite from Georgia 1-2.
FC Dallas 98 Premier won 1-0 vs. KSA 98 Premier and are Region 3 Champions!

At the end only one NTX team won the championship.

Glad we could put you to sleep. I guess I shouldn't post about the National Championship later this month. Admittedly, it was kind of a boring topic that nobody seemed much interested in. This forum has become kind of a snooze fest. I miss the good old days when a seemingly innocuous post like this could quickly digress into a discussion of which coach was sleeping with which mom or how the regional tournament is the epitome of everything that's wrong with youth sports generally and US soccer on the global stage. Did we all just get too old and boring?

Congrats to FC Dallas Premier 98 for making it to the Nationals. All of us in the NTX soccer community are proud to be represented in the National Championship Tournament by such a talented team. Best Wishes for a big Win.

That is funny. I just assumed when he posted that, that maybe he had been to the regionals and was just glad it was over so that now he could get some sleep.

Don't you think that winning your region and qualifying for the national championships looks good on a college resume?

I would take video of all the games for my BB's highlight reel and I woukd seek out additional opporrunities to showcase my BB.

do college coaches hand out team scholarships? and video tape and stats are great for American Football don't fall for it sir would be my advice or if you have time and money to waste then go for it.
