Sole Roll?

There is a rumor going around through the kids that Sole Roll is closed or closing. Anyone else hear this?

didn't hear anything just yet but I am surprised that fcd has yet to gobble this little spot as well

There's an ad on Craigslist for an indoor soccer facility for sale for $90k

90K for Sole Roll seems a bit light in my estimation.

Mystery Solved...Lots of great memories of Sole Roll when my BB was a youth player.

I do not know if Sole Roll closed, but I noticed that Soccer Dynamics moved from Sole Roll to Inwood Soccer Center.   What does this mean for the "Field of Dreams"?  Will Soccer Dynamics be able to move it?   Will Soccer Dynamics still make dreams happen without the magical gold carpet?

Soccer Dynamics probably got a better deal at the Texans "shadow" facility (aka Inwood). That is the same location where the Texans residency program used to be and his program is definitely good for developing Texans youth players who are wanting an edge and a chance to move up the Texans team ladder.

Heard today it was closing or closed. Not a huge surprise. Also heard that Frisco Indoor was going the same way. It is a good thing to see a few close as that is how business should work. The indoor market was far too over built and the teams and players were being scattered too widely.

So sad to see most of the indoor places going down the drain. Next up is the PIT.

I remember you couldn't find parking at that building and now you can park semi's all day and night.

I believe what hurts indoor facilities the most is the cost of maintenance. Replacing the playing surface is super expensive and if your not packing the house year round, it's a tough business to be in.

Rumor is the a$$hole owner of the Sole Roll building raised the rent to $18k per month. Swallow that pill on the measly rates these folks charge for indoor rental during the Winter. We should be banging down their doors in the Summer too.

Maintenance is part of the issue alongside poor customer service and product. Take for example FIS, anyone who rented fields there from the owner will know how lousy they treated everyone.

Business 101, customers first.

When your league enrollments drop and you start spamming everyone that you can think of, perhaps you need to sit down an re-examine your relationship with customers and figure out why youre heading into the toilet.

You know, I had a customer one time that owed me money for about 10 years. Then one day, he drops by and acts like we are best friends. Sometimes customers are like coaches and it's best to move on. But, in this case we had a real conversation before we parted ways.

In this case customers are mostly coaches, only so many you can burn in a finite market without feeling the heat.

Yes, but then the value of some customers (coaches) is greater when they're gone. There are a lot of crappy coaches in this town. Sometimes the customer is a loser.

Because you let the wrong customers run your show. That's your problem.
