Classic League Re-Seed Fall 2017?

With USSF Development Academy becoming age pure this fall U13 should be re-seeded considering the number of teams that are in and will remain in D1 because they contain the pool of players that will move on to their respective clubs DA Team: currently U12 DA is mainly 2004 birth year players; there are at least 6 teams I see that will be "poached"; FCD Gomez/Pino, Solar Ogilsby/Castro, Texans Adames/Spark..obviously these clubs will have no problems at all filling those teams as premier teams..but considering over half of D1 will be quite new rosters..re-seeding each Division only makes sense..

Makes sense but prob won't happen. It would take another qualifier type tournament which I don't think the clubs would want to pay for. It will work itself out as it has in the past with the other age groups. The big club will recover quickly with LP gaining the most in this age group, they are already top 5 in my book.

U12 DA is one factor, going 11 v 11 and larger rosters is another. How many additional roster spots will there be in D1 next year, at a time when many boys head to DA?

My son is on one of those teams and it seems clear that DA isn't for everybody. A lot of the players will stay on the classic league team. Having a home for those players (their bye) is important to them, their coaches, and the clubs.

I expect the clubs will be pooling players to see who they can shuffle. We'll probably also see a lot of boys that want to play D1 showing up for tryouts in June. There are going to be a lot of slots.

D1 Classic will go to ten teams. There willl be no reseeding. Texans, Solar, and FC Dallas will move about 15 players each to their DA teams. Texans and FC Dallas have some 05's playing DA now. Players will come from outside clubs to make up the rest of the DA team. The classic league D1 teams for those clubs will be signicantly different, but there will be no reseeding. I would imagine there will be a pool of players for each club trying out for the D1 teams and there will be plenty of spots available given the DA and the move to 11v11.
