Wow, it is a big weekend. Texas Premier FC Barca 05 is also playing Barcelona 05B in the Arlington Premier Invitational League this weekend. Any predictions on this game?

Re: Big Game!!!
The Gomez squad looked beatable in the first match or 2..but probably not likely..looking at their numbers..they don't get scored against..and with a +20 goal differential..well 'nuff said..
4-2 Gomez
4-2 Gomez

But looking at the teams they played, they don't look like very tough teams to be scoring on them. I have seen highlights of their striker #11 and he seems fierce. I'm going with 2-1 Stark. I think they will be more aggressive.

Re: Big Game!!!
2-0 FCD over Texans, unless Phil is still on fire from the 0-0 results vs Molina, then its 4-0 FCD.

Re: Big Game!!!
So Stark team is the underdog in this match??!! Well I hope it is not a 4-0 or 4-2 kind of match. and more like 1-0 or 2-1. I want a winner. And I am sure the kids and coaches do as well.

Always been the underdog as far back to the academy days as I can remember. I recall perhaps they beat FCD maybe 1 time, maybe 2.

Re: Big Game!!!
Cool, So have you seen the Texans team play @Soccer10Dad? I have watched a couple games for a bit and saw how physical they are. And I believe that is why Molina tied them. That is only my opinion of course. So I believe that will play a big factor in the outcome of the game.

Re: Big Game!!!
I am pretty sure that Soccer10Dad has his facts a bit off. From what I know (and yes, my son is an 05 that used to play for Stark's team) the 04/05 FCD Dallas team did win more than they lost against Texans Stark/Hassan. (I believe it was about 4 games to 2 games). Every game was very competitive. There are no players left from that FCD team on the current 05 FC Dallas Academy team and Stark has, I believe, 6 players from the 04/05 Dallas Texans (Hassan) team (The rest of the players from those two teams are now on DA rosters for the most part. Stark had a lot more 05s than did that FCD team from last year did). The rest of Stark's team came from various clubs, the Texans other 05 team, and from the previous Texans 06 team. The Texans team is for sure a very different team from last season. I have no idea about the FC Dallas team. I really don't think the past Academy games that most of these kids were not a part of really mean much in this game. I am sure this will be a great game and, yes, I will be rooting for the Texans to pull this one out.

Seen both teams play and both have extremely talented players, going to be a competitive game for sure. I recall last year Hassan got tossed out when he lost the league to FCD. Maybe my facts are wrong on that and someone can correct me.

You are correct. Again, those were two entirely different teams we are talking about.

That's not very fair to say about Oglesby (3x), Dalglish (2x), Castro (2x), Pino (3x), and the Kicks. All those are quality teams that regularly put up goals on other teams.
Should be a great game.

Re: Big Game!!!
You are right @OP05 those teams are pretty good. but it looks like the only team that gave them a fight by paper were the kicks. But you cant always go by paper. Texans have a loss and tie and FCD have just a tie. And the Texans loss to the team FCD just demolished 10-0 FC Forzi. So I guess it wasn't there day that day. And yes I really hope it is an intense game!!!

Re: Big Game!!!
No way in hell the cheating FC Premier beat Stark 3-1. Something isn't right with that.

Okay, I will set the record straight on the Dallas Texans loss to FC Premier Forzi as well. The Texans team played with six players and lost 3-1.

Re: Big Game!!!
WOW!!! 6 Players!!!! Well, the Flu has been going around. Well, I hope both teams are 100% Saturday. There is nothing worst than a team losing because of just one player missing. I know FCD has a Solid Goalie lets hope Texans Goalie can Handle the pressure. Im sure this is a bigger game for the parents than the kids. LOL!!!!

Re: Big Game!!!
Well, looks like a very good game! Two very talented teams. But like in world Cup games hand balls count as goals! But I was really impressed by both goalies. Great saves by both. I would love to see a rematch on this game. Any other feedback?

Great Game and Both Great Keepers... I have seen some really good goal keepers in the 05 division hope these young boys stick with it on playing a very difficult position.

Yes they did show some good skill for being so young at the position. Have you seen both goalies play a lot @tib73? And I do agree with you I have seen numerous good goalies in the 05 Division. Being there and watching the game I saw the Texans Goalie had more saves because more shots on goal. Also, watching the highlights put up by FC Dallas he had some good saves that could have been goals and win for FC Dallas.

Yes I have seen both keepers play but must say I've also seen some great keepers in the 05 C1 league that have really caught my eye. I know the position well and seeing the technique some of these keepers have makes me think they are getting some really good extra training by a professional which means they put in some long hours.
