Re: Dallas Cup Groups
Manchester United, Eintracht Frankfurt or Everton to win the Super group.
U13: FCD Premiere or FC Golden State to win.
U15: Entracht Frankfurt to win.
U16: Sporting United to win.
U17: ??
U18:??
Will be interesting to see some of the best Classic League teams mix it up with DA teams and International teams.
This Week is all about winning!!!!

FCD U12 Academy (DA) is really the U13 boys but DA plays under the U12 name.Sprint wrote:Manchester United, Eintracht Frankfurt or Everton to win the Super group.

I don't know any of the teams. The team Tigres brought last year in the "03 bracket" was almost all 03BY kids. Very mature looking 03BY kids. But 03BY kids nonetheless. They were roughly the equivalent of Castros 02DA team IMO. I would guess if they bring similar this year that puts them beyond the local 03 DA teams. So I'll pick them cause I don't know anybody else. Maybe Godzilla plays for the Hiroshima FC team.
I'll be happy to get through a week that is "All about Winning" and go back to losing at life.

If it's the Tigre's team that Beat FCD Premier in a tournament . Then I would say they any of the DA teams would beat them. I'm not too familiar with any of the out of town teams.

Perhaps so. Maybe different kids. Their group of 03BY kids last year in DC was pretty advanced. Soccer-wise and facial hair.
I guess that means that you are picking Texans for U14.

Hahaha #13. You know I can't pick DT DA. Plus they aren't the best local DA team.

Re: Dallas Cup Groups
According to the parent ran standings. They are behind FCD and Solar.
But, they sure are playing better this half of the season. Booting it up is working in their favor. Guess will see when the season ends.

Heard FC Golden State is really good in that age group and Bethesada. If its the same team Solar Red 04 from last year played in the Supercopa ( Bethesada), it was one of the best teams we played all year.

Are there only certain parents who can tell if X is bigger than Y? Over first 20 games, FCD and Solar have more points. In games amongst the local teams, DT 03DA has the best record. Potato, potahto.
Perhaps there is more to it than that. When FCD suits up one player, they average 2.3 pts/game...in the 5 games they did not, they have a whopping 1 point in 5 games. Includes both of their losses to Solar and one to DT. Similarly, DT is undefeated over 10 games and 26 GF and 2 GA when one player is healthy and playing. 11GF and 19GA otherwise, with 6 losses. Those are probably all just coincidences.

Re: Dallas Cup Groups
If FCD chooses to play the 03's at their own age group, they will be very very tough to beat.
The 6'3 forward that is an 03 will have a hayday against kids his own age. Just an opinion based on watching him play though.

Bit curious, Not from Texas but I'm a bit concern. The FCD teams In the u14 bracket that end with a (F:04) are they truly 2003 or 2004?
Hows' the weather by the way?
TY.

You may be right about that.....
But I believe the 6'3 forward is playing with the 02s in Dallas Cup.

Re: Dallas Cup Groups
They are age pure 2003 teams. We went age pure last summer in Texas.Topflight wrote:tpitty wrote:If FCD chooses to play the 03's at their own age group, they will be very very tough to beat.

Weather is all over the place this time of year in Texas. Mostly lows in 50s and highs in 80s but could easily be highs in 60s or 90s and thunderstorms always possible in spring. Wind could be anything from 0 to 30 mph. Most days are 10 - 20 mph.

@Davito
Awesome, I was completely curious what that meant. Thanks for your help; by the way any local public park near north Dallas with good grass perhaps goals to run a training session?

Re: Dallas Cup Groups
There are plenty of neighborhood parks but the ground is generally very poor to play on, no goals and probably Ulittle rec soccer and baseball practice taking up the space already.
City fields are not open for public use. (may be possible to rent some) but they are frequently in fairly poor shape too.
If you just want some touches on a decent surface I would go to Moneygram fields. You will not be able to hold a proper practice but could find a space to "warm up" and no one would know you are not playing that day.

Re: Dallas Cup Groups
Topflight,
I would just email/call Ray or Frances at Dallas Cup about practice field availability. That has to be a common question and I would assume they have to have some solution in place for visiting teams. They can't be expecting teams to be here for a week and never train.

Re: Dallas Cup Groups
Oh and neighborhood parks will be empty during the daytime (I was thinking evenings in my earlier comment).
The challenge would be finding one with a good playing surface.

@Number13
Thanks for the advice, I have contact Dallas Cup now hopefully they can fit us in for at least a training session.
@Davito
That's very true, all fields should be available in the morning hopefully they are now
Playable and some sort of quality. My players need to adapt to the elevation and climate Asap.
