U17 World Cup Roster local players

Blaine Ferri from Solar and Bryan Reynolds from FCD made the U17 World Cup Roster for the U17 World Cup that starts in October. Congratulations to both of these local players, a huge accomplishment and hopefully a stepping stone to greater things.

That is great news. This will hopefully be an exciting U17 World Cup for the United States. This teams also has Josh Sargent, Andrew Carleton, and Timothy Weah. They and the North Texas players are all supposed to be phenomenal players. It should be fun to watch. Good luck to the North Texas players.

US U17 team is 2-0 at the World Cup and already in the knockout round. Blaine Ferri from Solar has started and gone ninety minutes in both games so far.

I just got a chance to watch the opening game vs. India last night, Mark Followill stated that Blaine Ferri was from Solar in Allen. Guessing he is an 02, anyone know who his solar coach is: Guessing he comes from DA so Castro?

Blaine is an 00 that has been with Solar for years, from Southlake. They got that wrong and I think referring to the fact Solar has fields in Allen??

Blaine played for Greg Oglesby for years in CL and then Kevin Smith with Solar DA and then largely left to go to Florida with the National Team residency. I think he is currently listed on the U19 Solar DA Roster.

The US U-17 team just lost to Colombia 3-1. They were in the driver seat to win the bracket, but with the loss, they finished third. They still, however, made it to the knockout round.

In my opinion, it was their worse showing. They could not string together consecutive passes and continuously gave up possession. There was also a lot of long-ball soccer on their behalf. Let's hope they pick up things in the next game. It would be nice to have some optimism for the future.
