Upset in 04 Bobby Rhine Tournament

The top team D1 team in CL (who has already clinched a Dallas Cup berth) FC Dallas Premier was upset by the fourth place team in D2 FC Dallas ETX, 4-2. Sounds like the CL leaders had a rough go of it but since they really have no incentive to win the tournament I guess they will survive. How great was it for the another FCD team to be the benefactors of their bad game. I wonder if the other teams in the group got the memo to lay down for FCD ETX too.

Perhaps teams that are already in Dallas Cup should just sit these qualifiers out so that everyone is on an even playing field and no one is getting games dumped for the points to fellow club members. At least the Dallas Kicks (who back doored their way into their DC berth thanks to an idiotic FCD coach) came out and destroyed Solar 7-0.

Pretty sure you are over thinking this, don't think the boys on that team would lose on purpose because they were playing another FCD team!  Also, how exactly did the Kicks back door anything?  You do realize only the first place team (after fall season) within this age gets the automatic invite to Dallas Cup.
