Coach Hudgell out of DT USSDA.
The season so far for the Dallas Texans USSDA:
U16/U17 USSDA: 14 games (2-8-4), GF 22, GA 30, GD -8
standings: 10th over 11
U18/U19 USSDA: 14 games (5-9-0), GF 16, GA 40, GD -24
standings: 9th over 11 (but have played more games than the last two teams)
This week, the Dallas Texans finally removed Coach Hudgell from his position as head coach of the U16/U17 USSDA and the U18/U19 USSDA teams.
Kevin Smith is taking up his role.
Can KS save the season?
It may be too late for kids graduating this year. Many giving up their dreams to play in college. So much talent wasted.

No.
They’ll now drop to last place! KS is a step down, if that’s even possible

I think if it's a team with talent & mental strength don't matter who it's the coach a team will succeed or you can have the best coach with a team with not talent or weak mentality it will fail, it's depends how you see the glass half empty or half full that's my 2 cents

Re: Coach Hudgell out of DT USSDA.
Talented team + poor coach = Poor results
Average talent + Good coach = Good results
The players can have skills, mental strength, soccer IQ, you name it but if the coach does not have a plan (or the wrong plan for the players he has) and get them all working to that plan then the team will get poor results. A collection of talented players is useless without direction and leadership.
Conversely a good coach can take average players and get the best out of them through discipline, organization and playing to the strengths of the team.

Count me as a KS believer. I think the U19s will be competitive with him as game coach. They are 9th right now and I think they will get up to 6th. IDK about U17s.

U14 DA went to the Semi’s as well.
KS doesn’t know how to line up the kids IMO. Hudgell seems to be doing his homework. He shuffles his players to try them in different spots if they have potential outside of their normal positions. Sometimes you need to stir up the players to get good results.
