Coach, do you expect to have spots open on your D1 team? Any losses to DA programs?

Socceroo, just curious as to how he would know. DA tryouts have not happened yet for the non-DA club players. And, I didn’t think DA clubs could actively recruit players under contract with other clubs. Given the DA expansion for U12, I would expect the DA teams to be heavily focused on picking up the core talent from the top 10 or so non-DA classic 1 teams — rebels, Allegiance, Rush, LFC Owen, etc.

Seems like a reasonable question to me. After the job that Pedro has done with his players, I'd be shocked if he wasn't actively discussing with each of them a plan for next year.

If your current coach doesn't have an idea of what options you are thinking about for your son next year, you probably don't have a good relationship with him. If you as a parent don't feel comfortable having that conversation with your coach...that kinda answers the question doesn't it?

@Socceroo - 14 players on the roster. 14 players committed to coming back. No Loss to DA programs.

@Whatdoiknow1 - The recruitment began a while back. People break the law on the daily basis, imagine the rules!

@Socceropath - Thanks. Yes, there is a specific plan for each of them for next year and the next 8 years.

All my players/parents understand that for as long as the boys are healthy, happy and continue to improve they will have several opportunities to play at whatever level they wish to play.

@TikiTaka - Thank you coach for the response. You mentioned in your first post you were looking for 07 players. If all 14 will be coming back, I'm assuming you are NOT looking for any 07 player for your D1 team?

Likely a lot wondering the same things with the team reshuffling set to occur going into next season. I would guess Pedro will be a hot commodity given the work he’s done with his 07 Black team and the fact that Allegiance seems to be the only option outside of DA offering basically daily training which is a clear benefit to development.

@Socceroo - I intend on adding two players to the roster. IF I can find two players that fit our style of play. We'll carry 16 players due to 11v11 plans. We'll likely have two 2007 teams in classic next year.
