Dr Pepper Fair Play results
I see that Club Classic Orange 98B was tied in the Fair Play tourney. Would have figured them to have a cake walk there since they are CL Div 2 and there were no other CL teams in their division. Did they have some key players on vacation or something? It was some Comets team they tied with.

They also gave up three goals to the FC Hawks. Could be lacking motivation.Freeatlast wrote:I see that Club Classic Orange 98B was tied in the Fair Play tourney. Re: Dr Pepper Fair Play results
I think it was a combination of lack of motivation on the part of CC and a highly motivated Plano team that had a shot to "knock off" a Classic team. Tejanos tied a team that just moved into D3 from Arlington, as well. I think we'll still end up seeing both of those teams make it to the finals...

Tejanos are Classic D1 and they are sitting behind both of the teams that challenged into D3 so far in this tournament. It is going to be a long year in D1 for Tejanos if they don't step it up. However, I think both of the new D3 teams may be in the upper half of D3 by the end of the fall. But Tejanos still should be handling them if they are going to have any success in D1.

Well, Club Classic 98 beat the Tejanos in the semi-finals 2 - 1 and then beat FCFW 3 - 2 in the finals. Looks like lack of motivation was the reason they struggled with the Comets... CC's ability to control the game and their speed up top seemed to be the difference as they won the tourney.

Speed & control may have been what helped CC beat the Tejanos? But FWFC gave CC all they could handle and it was looking like the game would go to PK's. Maybe CC deserves the D1 spot and not Tejanos??? Likewise, FWFC is a strong D3 team, definately a team to watch. Congratulations to all of the boys for a good preseason tournament.

Not sure Tejanos should lose their slot based on one game... Revolution lost this weekend also. At this age on any given day teams can lose to teams in lower divisions (except maybe Solar) Not to take anything away from CC as I am sure they played well. Lets see how labor day goes
