LP Red is pretty much the same team as last season, may have picked up a player or 2, but should be consistent. The White team from last season is now the Black team and has all new players except for 1 - and are one of the teams that chose not to challenge.

Surprise, surprise! PYSA has all of Saturday's 96B QT scores posted. Only two teams started out 2-0, which pretty much leaves the field wide open.

I know that they lost three of there better players last year. I dont know about coppell though.

In bracket 1 it seems like anything possible. The two winners of the games being played today will advance. In bracket 2 DFW are pretty much already in. FCD West just need a draw to advance. In bracket 3 it looks like another hard to call one. Liverpool are advancing no matter what given the fact that both TFC and FCD White cant both win. ACES are also out. In bracket 4 Andromeda is already out. Yes the andromeda that was in first for most of the winter. Solar advance even with a 3-0 loss as long as inter and X-treme dont tie. Those are what the brackets look like right now using the point system plano said it was using.

PYSA has standings listed, with all kinds of "points", but I'm not sure how they relate to the tournament. Your summary is probably accurate.

BTW- Other ways for Solar Gold to not advance. E.g., if they lost scoring no goals and Texas X-Treme beats Inter Milan 3-2.

PYSA has on there standings a regular point system and a tourny one. the tourny one however doesnt count for clean sheets (which is in the tournament info) and some doesnt register a teams second goal. I went through and did all the math.

Liverpool 96 Boys won final game today against Aces. Think the score was 4 or 5 to 0.
FCD White and TFC Blue tied 0 0 in their game. Does anyone know how the tie breakers are decided on this one?
Any other scores out there? Clearly Plano isn't posting right now.

Tie Breakers will be determined in the following priority:

(1) Point Total
(2) Head to Head
(3) Goal differential, the number of goals scored minus the number of goals allowed
(4) Most Goals scored
(5) Fewest Penalty Card Points, the card points will be figured using one point for each yellow card and two for each red card.

Based on this, FCD White would advance.

Congrats to Liverpool and Tornados, as both had clinched yesterday but still closed out the tournament with strong wins today. Their performance at least gets them consideration as top contenders this season.

PYSA posted the Sunday scores. It looks like the eight 1st and 2nd place finishers are:

CDI White
FCD Red
DFW Tornados
Genesis Elite
Liverpool
FCD White
Solar Gold
Inter Milan

And the wildcard team appears to be TFC Blue.

Even with the division split, there will still be only 2-3 legit contenders. DFW Tor & LP finished with 9 pts... do we assume they are contenders? Their results in the tourney are a product of an easy bracket. I know, you can only play who's on the schedule. CDI got a scare today... maybe came into the tourney a little big headed.
I got to see Inter & Solar play and they are arguably the 1st-2nd best teams in the tourney. Then don't forget the horse that sat this race, Texas Stampede. I'm sure they'll have a lot to prove after getting bounced from CL. I think TXS, Solar G, & Inter are the ones to beat this yr. Inter... not bad for a bunch of DESA kids!

In no way am I trying to hi-jack this thread.....in fact I have some comments on a couple of the teams talked about here.....Tornadoes will rule this division (I assume this is the team that played in the DP tournament??). FC Dallas Red I think must have lost the good forward they had last year??? They will still play very physical in the back and their coach is a really interesing guy and really seems to care about his kids.....and he can coach.
