04 Boys Spring 2012

With warm temperatures outside and me being bored today, I figured would release the 1st Spring Rankings. As always these rankings are based on results, player movement, and my opinion.

Here were the rankings we had at the end of the fall season. Unfortunately with more top teams spread out in leagues it doesnt look like we will be seeing many of the top teams playing eachother on the fields.


1. Odyssey - finished the year undefeated in EAL
2. Dynamo - tough loss yesterday but keep the second spot
3. Leite United - playing well lately, will be fun to see how they do this weekend in tournament
4. DT Rosales
5. Solar Red
6. Solar Chelsea Farley
7. TFC Volkan
8. Andromeda Hiller
9. Bandits
10. Solar Partain
11. Liverpool Sousness
12 Texans Manchester

Other teams that are outside the top 12. Chelsea (Mesquite) (aka Centurions), Chivas Deportes, Liverpool Reina, Wizards, Solar Red Tarrant, Texans South

Your insight into my intentions is as inaccurate as your standings .... errr, rankings. One more thing: It has been a while since I shared my thoughts on your "rankings," and it will remain that way. Enjoy.

ahh the verbal banter that you and I enjoy on the boards. It's like my old favorite soap opera - Days of our lives. The great thing about those soaps is that I could go months without watching them and nothing would change.

So I am hearing conflicts reports on whether DT Rosales will have a top 04 teaam this Spring. From some I have heard the team has broken apart, from others i have heard he has retained a couple from his core.

Assuming he has retained a couple from his core, but lost a couple I have added the team above

The EAL schedule is now posted.

1st week of games

Game of the week
#1 DSC vs #4 Leite - not sure this will be much of a game, I expect Dynamo to easily handle them just like they did this winter in indoor.

Other Top Games
#2 Solar Red vs #13 Solar Partain - again not much of a game, Solar red is the better side.
#5 Andromeda vs #7 Bandits - Opening weekend of EAL, Bandits struggled last weekend in the primetime tournament. Expect Andromeda to come out the victor.
#6 Solar Chelsea Farley vs #9 Liverpool Reina - Reina did well to make it to the finals of their tournament last weekend losing to Dynamo. I expect this one to be close with Solar Chelsea coming out on top by a goal or two.

Other teams in top 10
Odyssey - Playing in primetime this Spring has the weekend off
Wizards - can't find where they are playing
DT Rosales - not playing in 04 league

So far I am 0 for 2 on predictions

I got a report that Solar Red spanked Solar Partain 9 to 1. Anyone have the DSC vs Leite score?

Wizards are playing in the U-9 silver division of Primetime League (PTCL). They won against Crushers 3-2.

Ref told me Solar Red was 6-1 and that Solar Partain looked much stronger in game against Texans one hour earlier. Dynamo parent told me they tied Solar Partain the night before in indoor.

The ref told me that if the weather wasnt so cold then both teams would have scored more goals. The ref also said that if the goals were twice as big more shots would have gone in. One of Solar Reds little brothers told me that their Dad's got beat Solar Partain's dads in a race.

This is the 04 forum, not 05's...

Tough to place to much stock in one game, especially considering the conditions and first week on grass for teams. I have also adjusted rankings based on teams that aren't playing in 04 Leagues at all.

Teams that I am unable to rate based the fact they dont play in an 04 league at all (DT Rosales and Wizards). Given that I dont know if their teams are made up of 04s as well as don't know if they have players that are playing on them that aren't on that team primarily (since being on a different day.

Someone is sporting with you, 4TLG. Probably in reference to all the "I don't knows" in that last paragraph of yours. Quit hijacking this age group with your unfounded theories and come back when you have a clue--when you actually know the coaches, the teams, the kids and the parents from somewhere other than your overflowing inbox on this forum.

Sheesh.

Possible, someone is upset about being ranked 8th place.


Remember, the rankings were all about having fun and no one really took them seriously anyway.
