Hartman GK Training - Free Kicks, Penalty Kicks, Set Pieces
Kevin Hartman is having a classroom training session on Sunday on Free Kicks, Penalty Kicks, and Other Set Piece Situations. This is for a maximum of 5 keepers ages 12 and up, although the average age is usually around 15.
Coach Hartman will be training the keepers on the field for one hour, then moving into a classroom to further the discussion. In soccer today, a majority of goals are scored not through the run of play but off of set pieces. This session will concentrate on how best to deal with each type. It’s pivotal that the goalkeeper is personally prepared, a leader on the team, and the defense is properly organized.
