So, we didn't do a predictions thread this week, but what are the results of today's games? I know a few scores were posted, but not many. With FCD Gomez playing in the ESPN tournament, seems like they were replaced by Mexico FC in the schedule with a double header. How did they do in the step up from D2? Anecdotes from today's games?
Liverpool Gerrard beat FCD Toros 4-0 in the 8am game on quite a wet and slippery surface. At times the boys were even laughing at themselves for the inability to make a good cut and change direction without ending up on their rear though my son did take advantage after the game and when running across the field to the parent's side, performed a beautiful slide on his knees with arms extended in his best imitation of what he watches from across the pond each Saturday.
This team has played well this spring finishing with an 8-0 record with 28 GF and only 3 GA. The boys are learning to maintain their standard of play no matter the opponent.
Looking forward to tournaments in May and June!

Fort Worth Strikers
Strikers 2 - FCD Figueroa 1
Strikers finished D2 season 7 - 1. Only loss to Solar Stricker 2-3.
According to parents, Stricker's team was propped up with D1 players.
Strikers played back to back matches Friday & Saturday on that weekend so a little tired for the 2nd match.
Still well played though.

Great to hear about a team that doesn't get a lot of chatter on this forum. Sounds like the Strikers may be one of those teams that can surprise others in the QT and get into Classic League.
