Mexican U-17 team?
He's 18 or 19, and he's playing for the Mexican U17 team? That just say so much about both...
By they way, does anyone know if he ever learned how to use his left foot or to actually move to his left. Or, does he still just get the ball on the left side of the field, dribbile across to his right and fire the ball to the net with that cannon of a right foot? I sure hope so. Any quality defender could stop that one-trick. Oh yeah, he always stayed high so he was defended by forwards. WOOOOO...forwards playing defense.
He did have that one "dive trick" he always did when he would dart between two players then trip himself. Always a class act.

Re: Bryan Leyva with Mexico's U-17 national team.
He has a 1992 birthdate that would make him a u17. Do not know if he has a left foot but the right has been fine. He had a good year in the AL or every defender/forward just could not figure him out.

Oh, then here's some advice for AL defenders. Over play to the right. Make him go left. He used to cry, but he's probably out grown that by now.

Yeah, he probably outgrew that, its called maturing, maybe you could learn, its very pathetic to hide behind an avatar and take shots at teenagers.

A teenager? He's of legal age in Texas. Hell, he's apparently a "professional" soccer player now. I'm not hiding behind anything. Many posters, at least the old TMers, know exactly who I am. Why the F are you treating him like a kid anyway? As soon as these 91/92s turn 17, certainly 18 or 19, they're old enough to take a little criticism.
OK... I'll wait a year before I say anything else about him. Who knows, maybe he'll become a two-dimensional players by then.

Re: Bryan Leyva with Mexico's U-17 national team.
You can be a critic all you want, but till you or your BB or DD is on a National Team, and plays for a pro team that's all you are a critic.
Congrats to Bryan and his family, coming to a county like America, and becoming the first Select Player from the FC Dallas Club to sign with the Pros Team and making his countries National Team.
My son was born here, but because of his Grandmother my Mother, he has the right to play for Mexico too. I know there is a good chance he will not ever play......but his dream is playing for a National team one day, be it USA or Mexico.....more then playing as a Pro. But then again I can't predict the future, never know what can happen.
With all due respect to his abilities, Bryan has done his parents proud.......We can logon, take all kinds shots and criticism at this Man or Kid, but take a look at your own kid, and ask yourself will he ever get where Bryan is.
I could careless if the guy had one leg, he has gotten the job done. And in soccer that's all that matters.
With that opinion I finish my criticism.
