IE done

I hate to see a good team fall apart but it seems IE is done. Looks like FWFC will get the D1 bye.

Is this actually true; if so, what happen??? This team is/was one of the best independent teams I've seen in years.

From what I have seen and heard, 6 players already signed with other teams. 6 more were at team practices waiting for offers this weekend. A new coach was suppose to takeover but ...these are the facts I have. Heard some other rumors but not worth posting.

Are they loosing players to the Big 4 due to DA/PA??? I know for sure they have a kid from my neck of the "woods" that REALLY GOOD...New coach; what's the deal with that???

Just to clarify. It's TFC Royal in D1. Why can't any of the other independant teams or smaller clubs take over the IE spot. The only think you would need is 100% signature of the parents for the name change or?

if it happens between now and December 31 you don't need to keep 75% of the roster while you have to after January 1.

Well since they have already notified CL that they aren't coming back and most of the boys have found new homes it looks like IE 97 is no more. Hate to see it....

Agree with the sentiment but I have spoken to people close to IE and have been told that in this case the coach pretty much shut the team down because he couldn't commit the time to it anymore. Maybe someone whose BB actually played for the team could confirm or deny?

Just out of curiosity; I noticed that Barca 97 is now wearing the name of Irving Elite...did they merge and did they inherit some of the old IE players???

That would be a good merger for both independents.
