Top '03 Boys Teams entering Fall 2012 Season Empty Top '03 Boys Teams entering Fall 2012 Season

Post by Million 8/2/2012, 3:20 pm

So with the season getting ready to start. Wanted to get everyone's thought on the top teams enter the fall season.

Based on talking with other parents and observations since fall 2011:

1. Odyssey
2. Solar - (Castro) - Odyssey seems to have their number.
3. FC Dallas Premier - has not been able to beat either Solar Castro or Odyseey
4. Tie between Dallas Texans (Nipper - which is combined team of old DSC and DT Gall), and Solar Gold (Joy)
5. Tie between DT South and Solar Red
6. ?????????
7. ?????????
8. ?????????
9. ?????????
10. ?????????

Not sure of the order of the following teams: TFC - Trevino, Titans, Cruz Azul, Ayses Gold, Andromenda, Mansfield, ??????

Good luck to all teams this season. Lets see how things will change (or stay the same) going to 11v11 on a full size pitch

This season/year should be pretty interesting as the field grows and teams merge. I know there have been a group of solid top teams in this age group.

Castro and Odyssey are very solid and probably the top 2.

After that you probably cant nail down an order. I have not seen all these teams play each other recently so its hard to tell where they all would fall.

I can say the TFC Trevino only lost to Castro in SDL 1 last season and have been playing primarily 02 in tournies. I am sure that since the merge with Juventus Velez and with the size of this clubs growing pool of players it will only continue to improve.

FCD Premier is solid.
DT Thornber was a solid team.
Curious to see DT Nipper, DSC was solid and Gall was good
Solar Gold have always been good

There are other good teams but I think these teams are all on top.

It will be neat to see what teams have merged and who is playing where, and for the teams start to shake out. I would love to see a tournament with all these teams in it.

The Texas Summer Classic is loaded with some of the "top" teams mentioned above. I believe both Castro teams, Solar Red, Titans, Cruz Azul/Meja, Liverpool Paisley and Ayses Gold are all playing. Should be a fun weekend!

Here's an observation about these teams and this age group. Playing three games on any given 100 degree day on a 110 x 70 pitch is absurd. The tournament folks really should try and take that into consideration when scheduling these events.

Agree 100%. Hopefully Primetime displays more common sense for the tourney this weekend.

I don't know what they will do, but Primetime is primarily non-11v11. I think McInnish just has 2 full pitches, so they don't have a ton of flexibility if they have full divisions. Can't give everyone a Friday PM, and two early Sat AMs for pool play. Bring 18 kids.

I'm just glad BB subs out a lot and doesn't try to cover every position. Should be a snap whenever he first plays an 11v11 match.

Well traveled Texas Lighting (former Titans et.al) should be a top 5 team. Could play under 2 or 3 more banners before QT lol. See GotSoccer link for record
