Plano Labor Day 02s

Any thougths or predictions on the 02 boys for Labor Day? There are three Houston teams in the Gold Division with:

1. Houstonians FC 02
2. Houston Atlas Galacticos 02 and
3. Houstonian Rayodos 02 Bangu.

Anyone know anything about these teams and which is the best of this group of our southern neighbors?

The teams from houston are going to be VERY physical. They play a possession style of soccer with a lot of short passes. I know the Houstonians would be a Top 5 team if they played in Classic. Just my 2 cents.

DT (Thorber)vs. The Houstonians at 8:00am Carpenter Park (Field O).
The Houstonians shook up a very good Solar Chelsea team to advance to face DT (Thorber)

Sporting United played a decent game.
One very annoying parent that wanted damn near the whole DTS team to get yellow cards, but the kids played well.
And most of those kids on Solar Red, Solar Chelsea, DT South, and DT Thorber are really good friends.
While "SOME" parents are glaring at each other, their little ones are making friends with their opponents.
Funny, huh?

Sporting United has some talented kids but the style of play is no good, same thing goes for Solar Red (Crushers) kickball is not it. Parents do not allow your bb's coach to teach them kick ball aka hope and pray. Both these teams have players that can play if taught the right way. Just my 2cents, that means nothing. If you're a Crushers parent please step up and tell me I'm wrong in my assessment about your teams style of play.

Not angry, just would like to see teams play soccer not track and field. I mean no disrespect to the kids because they are talented, just not taught the right way of play. These coaches should be called out for not teaching these kids and focusing on winning now.

That was a intense torney, and all teams played there heart out. I think some coaching skills need changes but im not a coach( for classic ), but heads up to the champs. See you in classic. Hope all goes well and 0 injuries.

I saw alot of kickball from those 2 teams mentioned. During the Sporting United game their forward would take the goal kicks & boot it as far as he can then run after his ball. This was the same with the start of the game, pass it back to the midfielder & boot it to the other end of the field. Not a possesion type team at all. Watching the Crushers, they were playing what looked like 5 defenders & 5 forwards. I don't recall seeing anyone in the middle of their field. Just kick & hope their 5 forwards would beat the 3 defenders. Both teams have kids who could be really good if coached correctly. Parents get your monies worth from your coach. Im sure your coaches new Mercedes thanks you!!

I thought that if you win games though out, you can win champ. I thought that 1 point wins game.Skilled or no skilled. If you get beat like i tell my sons get up and try again. I think coaching is 50% of what a talented kid takes in. He listens then tries,and if no success, My kid tries to do great things on his own to make plays happen. That is soccer and its hard sometimes to even score one point.When you have great players and sometimes you can run score up.

Now that DTS 02 is now in select. Are they going to come back and play the 01's like before? just curious to see how they stack up to the D1 U12 teams
