96's Playing After Fall CL Season?

Curious what everyone's been up to the last few weeks. What tournaments did you go to? How did you do? What is on the horizon before High School kicks off (ie Disney).

Three teams from U17 North Texas attended the North Carolina CASL Boys Soccer Showcase....DT Red, DT Red West, and Andromeda Red.
Both DT Red and Red West placed first in their brackets and both teams played very well.

FC Dallas Premier, FC Dallas Central (prev. comets), American Eagles and Andromeda all went to the Alabama Collegiate Showcase in conjunction with the mens Final Four. Premier and Andromeda finished top or tied for top of their brackets, while both Am. Eagles and Central finished third in theirs

There were also two members of DTR there with the ODP Region III team that finished in 1st place. One was named team captain for 2 of the three games.

Congratulations to FCDP for winning their Showcase bracket at Disney. Very impressive!!
Also congrats to DTRS for winning their Championship bracket at the same tournament.

Always great competition at Disney. Its nice to see our north Texas non DA boys showing well.

each only had 1 loss, I believe.

DTR lost in the 3rd/4th place game which I don't think they would be happy with by their high standards.
DTWW only lost once, but only tied the other two. By Ali's standards, they're probably not happy either.
Solar and TFC I think won the 3rd place game, which deserves a congratulations.


But also FCD Youth participated. They ended up 1-2, but played extremely well all 3 games.

Congrats to all NTX teams, but some will definetly be happier than others

Quite the opposite Iplaysoccer considering the trip DTR had....everyone was happy to advance no matter the outcome.
Team flight cancelled to Orlando...players rerouted all over the country...one came in on the red eye from Phoenix at 6:30am to play that day...one missed
the first game. Two parents cars hit during this trip...nothing serious. The flu bug came into the team on the first day...so far 3 players and 3 parents have suffered or are getting over it. A couple of key injuries through mid-tournament that took the players out.
Considering everything that happened to them, it was a great success, but one we hope never to repeat! EVER!

There was also one player that missed the trip due to a severe stomach virus and one that went to Florida early but then spent Xmas eve in the ER getting IV fluids and meds for severe food poisoning. On the whole the team showed grit and determination to that well. Many players stepped it up and did whatever was asked of them.

Looks like FCDP was the only NTX team to play in the showcase bracket. Congrats on a win in that strong division.
