Would love to see a little more talk about the 03's. Especially regarding this tournament. Does anyone know anything about the teams outside of Texas? Anyone care to guess how our North Texas teams will fare within their brackets?

This is going to be a real humdinger of a soccer tournament. California teams, top Texas teams, top Florida teams. Discount all the rest, the tournament championship hardware will be taken home from one of those 3 states.

Yes. Everybody moves out of pool play, your record/points will just determine whether it is a gold, silver or bronze
knockout bracket you go into. Really cool concept.

But be careful what you say. I hear there are 10 year olds reading these posts now.

As a non 03 parent, I can spout nonsense about the 03 teams with impugnity, so here goes:

Bracket A:
Winner Albion

Bracket B:
Winner Solar Castro

Bracket C:
Winner FCD Premiere 03

Bracket D:
Sereno 03 ( Arizona) Pulling for these guys.

Winner
Odyssey 03

Winner Patedores

Wild Card 1: DT Thornber
Wild Card 2: Miami Strike Force ( Cool Name Very Happy

No clue how good most of these teams are, so I'm not going to try and predict results. Someone worked out seeding and has the North Texas teams seeded pretty high, so hopefully our teams will represent well.

I do see that the 1st tie-breaker is point differential (with no max limit). With 24 teams going for 8 supercopa playoff spots, it seems highly likely the tiebreaker will come into play often (both for determining the wildcards and for seeding the playoff brackets). So big benefit goes to the teams in groups with the weakest teams (whoever they turn out to be), as winning a single game by 8-9 goals will give a huge advantage.

Shrug. I think a lot will depend on how seriously anybody is taking this. Would assume anybody traveling here is taking it pretty seriously. Based on random fragments of conversations with parents I think I can say that 3 of the 5 local teams are not taking it very seriously, one is taking it uber-seriously, and one is unknown (but would assume seriously).

I'm more concerned how I'm gonna fit 10 more folks from AZ into my house.

Second place is not an option.... Second place is the first looser......mercy is for the weak you show your enemy no mercy...

That is what my BB coach preaches... I don't know if he is taking it serious or not (sarcasm)
