Puma Cup 2013
Any predictions? My BB will be playing with Barcelona (MSA), but I don't really know anything about the other teams. What kind of competition are we facing?
We will be playing the:
TFC 02B
FCD South 02B Blue
East El Paso Liverpool
Good luck to everyone!

TFC 02B is not the same team. That team disbanded. Zero original members. It looks like the "new" team might be at least parts of Cyclones FC. Different coach. Can't tell you for sure though as I don't know those kids. FCD South 02 Blue is a good challenge. Especially if they play guest players. I think that will be your toughest challenge.
I don't know anything about the LP team. Good luck in the tournament. We're in the King Tut or I would have liked to see the new TFC team play to see what they're about.

Not sure we will get a true measure of team talent this weekend. I know some of the teams have some of their top talent out on vacation.

Fc Dallas South & Sporting United would be your toughest competition. Don't know anything about Liverpool El Paso. El Paso have some pretty good teams they may be tough. This tournament would've been better if LP Owens & Tx Suns were in it. Why did they bail out?
Why would any team use guest players at this point? You would be doing an injustice to your players that signed with your team.

No games lightning in the area starts raining 30-35 min. later stops raining Sun is out. Lots of kids run to the field to get the games started.
Tournament Cancelled!!! WHAT???
Played one game.. Where is my refund?

The named sponsor, Puma, cannot be proud of having its brand associated with this. Others have been saying that the rain had stopped and players were warming up on the fields, when the "unplayable fields" cancellation was announced.

They should not canceled, they just should took advantage on field conditions and play a rugby match. Talking about teams like Mexico or lighting.

Very crappy... But then again, this is lightning we're talking about. 2nd tier club making poor decision & lining thier pockets.

worldcup2014, why don't you talk a lil more about your team instead of worrying so much about the Mexico team. Oh maybe your team sucks so much that you don't have anything important to say about them right..

This sucks. We were about 15-20 minutes into our 2nd game and the rain started. It did rain hard for about 30-45 minutes, then slowed down. The fields we were on were playable, in my opinion. Someone said all the refs lefts, something about "red" on something and that the City shut it down. I thought they were talking about last night only and then heard the entire tourney cancelled. Talk about BS. Lots of folks there, took a good hour to get all the cars out of the parking lots. Buses too. Nice choice Arlington. You just lost a ton of money. And lightning, well, nice one. I do expect a refund. One game played and 15 minutes of the 2nd one. Again, total BS. Well.....at least we can play futsal today now.

This is true. I was there. They were warming back up. Back to my original word. BS. Total BS. Ref said the City shut it down, didn't want their precious fields ruined.
On a brighter note, I guess, we did have a good set of refs our first game, which is a first for Arlington.

Sure is. Matter of fact - just checked for fun and Arlingtonsoccer.org says - FIELDS ARE OPEN.
WTH??? This is crap. Never seen this before and hope I never do again. The City of Arlington sucks. Their decision, their mistake. Like they need more people avoiding their "attractions" right now. Arggh. Another day another lost dollar.

I'm curious as to the TFC/Cyclone scores. Did they beat Liverpool El Paso? Walked up as it was ending.

The website had that game 1-0 for TFC. What happened in the 10-0 game against the Barcelona team y'all were playing for?

Think this question is for someone else. We weren't in that game.
