Re: Richland College
Muddy but not too bad. BB said that the sand they used to fill in the holes sucked. Kids (non players) shooting at the goals in the 18 before games didn't help it either. I saw chunks of mud and grass coming up with them.

Re: Richland College
Still cut high, thick in corners and penalty areas. low corners very soggy. older boys will tear the fields up today.

Re: Richland College
Ok it's becoming ridiculous field #11, #12 and #13 grass way to tall, leaning goals and loaded with fire ant piles and the always the constant 10% grade from one goal to the other, can it really be that difficult to spend some of the thousand of dollars CL and Richland college receive from all these clubs. Please step up and do something about field #11,#12,and #13 we really could go play at any grade school open field and have the same experience. Toyota Fields Rock, awesome this year.

Re: Richland College
We were on those fields and you are right, I was just going on a mud factor. Did see ant hills and I hate playing on those crap fields. Always have to factor in bad play because of the fields. Just asked BB again and he said they were going downhill. And he keeps talking about the sand, how much they were sliding in it. From the sidelines I couldn't tell, but is there that much sand on the field really?? Made a difference in shots. What can be done to get them to get better conditions???wayoutwest wrote:Ok it's becoming ridiculous field #11, #12 and #13 grass way to tall, leaning goals and loaded with fire ant piles and the always the constant 10% grade from one goal to the other, can it really be that difficult to spend some of the thousand of dollars CL and Richland college receive from all these clubs. Yep, not replacing your divot after a shot is poor form.SailorMoon wrote:BB said that the sand they used to fill in the holes sucked.

Richland Fields
You people sure are tough on the maintenance crew. Isn't it enough that they, (after all these years, put lights in the men's restroom.) For crying out loud; they even have directional signs showing the public where the restrooms are. I also saw a few potted plants around the concession stand. Now, that is progress. Can you imagine the meeting with the decision makers regarding all of this?nearpost95 wrote:Yep, not replacing your divot after a shot is poor form.SailorMoon wrote:BB said that the sand they used to fill in the holes sucked.

Re: Richland College
I don't remember traffic being as bad as it has been. Is it just my bad memory? Traffic from the back lots sat, didn't move for a good 20 minutes, and while waiting that out, I see a Dallas police car cruise along Fields 11, 12 and 13, on the grass, take that back side out and I don't know where they went or what they were doing, but I'm sure they didn't help direct traffic or it would have moved. (probably not their job) but good gravy, getting in and out is becoming a chore these days.
And yes, glad they do fill the holes in at least.

Re: Richland College
Saw this on the CCSAI website - who pays this and how often I wonder??? Maybe the last fee wasn't paid or paid short???? Who knows. Never noticed it before but never looked for it either.

Every team pays it...not certain if it's once or twice each year?

Re: Richland College
That's some serious cash for field maintenance. Wow. Thanks for that info.Soccerinsanity wrote:Every team pays it...not certain if it's once or twice each year?

Re: Richland College
It's once per year and definitely some serious cash for field maintenance.
8 age groups X 30 teams per age X $650 = $156,000
Anybody know when they open up the bidding for that contract?

Remember it's not about your bb, it's about money and kickbacks.
