Anyone playing in this?

Tournament Dates:

May 1 - 2, 2010 - U11 thru U18
May 8 - 9, 2010 - U11 thru U18 - Semi & Finals

3/5/2010- Deadline for State Cup Registration, entry fee is $575<LI style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">3/12/2010- Deadline for Late State Cup Registration, has an addition $250 to the entry fee
<LI style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">4/16/2010- Rosters are FROZEN for U11-U18
<LI style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">3/21/2010- Mandatory Coaches/Managers Meeting - Crown Plaza Hotel at 1pm.
5/22/2010- Rosters are FROZEN from U19

Haven't heard a lot of talk for our age group. Maybe folks are waiting until the last minute. Your team playing?

Believe so, but deadline is around the corner and haven't heard much from the U11s on this, so not sure what will happen.

United 99B from Mesquite is putting up some stats. 32 in the strings, 8 GA.

Liverpool as well. 34 GF 9 GA.

Those two (LP and United Mesquite) were scheduled to meet tonight, but I don't know if that game was played or not.

Does the top team in Plano automatically go into Classic D3 for the Fall season or does it just get them into Qualifier tournament?

There will be challenge games this summer between the top two PPL teams and the two bottom D2 teams. The winners move up tho D3

I believe the challenge tournament will include top (2) Plano teams, top (2) Arlington teams and bottom (2) DII teams. The top two teams will then move to DIII

Why Arlington? CCSAI does not have to include them.

CCSAI doesn't have to include anybody since it is invitational, but for the last few years they invited the top 2 PPL and Arlington teams to the challange games. Usually played during the QT of the new U11 teams - meaning beginning of August.

Last year it was changed and the challenge games were played in conjunction with the Memorial Day Tournament in May. That way teams knew before July where they would be be playing and could use that to recruit. Don't know if it will remain that way this year.

It will remain the same this year.

Socmom is correct. Earlier in the year I verified this with the U11 Comissioner in Classic League.

Why is it always so difficult to get some input as to tournaments from this forum?

You better hope they're around and in D1, or else, what will FCD do? Kids, including yours from Blue will have nowhere to go within the organization.

Funny no grudge...just trying to stir it up...it humors me. My kid has never went the fc route.....Our team sucks!

they don't suck they have actually played great in alot of games they just lose faith and run out of gas in the second half of their games! they play a good ball control style but abandon it in lure of scoring at all cost and then get caught up in the "advanced athletic NTX style of play" and lose! there are quite a few solid players on that team and a few that need to head back to rec and a couple of kids that can't live up to their parents ego!!!!! but not a sucky team by no means!
