Not sure if Bobby Rhine will be a qualifier this year or not. Does anyone know for sure? I did send an email out and the reply said they were still working on it.

I heard last year they weren't doing tourney qualifiers again, and Texan's bye was gone too, could have been just a rumor.

If you check the Texans website today they have announced the Fall Festival as being a qualifier once again this year.

There was no reference to host club exemptions. is that elsewhere or are they doing away with that concept this year.GoldenGoal wrote:http://www.dallascup.com/Registrationsforteamsrefsscout/teams/747136.html

No more free passes for the host club. That is definitely a huge perk gone out the window, and I wonder how that is going to impact the volunteering and the homestay program. Certainly at least one, if not two, teams in every age group were playing in DC by virtue of the host club rule and none of those parents will be offering up their homes and their free labor any more.

Re: Dallas Cup Metro Area Qualification
All Dallas area teams that are invited to the DC agree by accepting the invite to provide 10 homestay families, so that will not be affected. I wonder if all Texans teams are still going to be required to provide 100 hours of service to the DC. With 86 select, pre-academy and academy teams that is 8600 man hours that may not be available to organizers.OnTheSurface wrote:No more free passes for the host club.
