Playing up
I'm sure this has been answered somewhere here, but I can't find it, and the rules may have changed. Can you play up in Classic League?

Re: Playing up
I think that once your child is "select" age, they can play up as far as a coach will let them.
Select ( or competitive) starts at U11. So once they are u11, they can play up 1 or 2 or 3 age groups (or even more if they can make the team). I dont think ive heard of anyone playing up more than 2 though.

Re: Playing up
So U10 boys going select this summer can go straight onto a team of U11 Boys after July 1st. The players don't have to play U 11 next fall but U12?
Can someone confirm...heard this at practice last week. Never heard this with eldest.

Yes, if your son will be U11 this next summer, then he can play on a U12 team if he can make it onto the U12 team (or even a U13 team if he can make it). There are kids every year who do it. One I remember best is a kid who is still doing it - a 99 boy who played up on 97 team immediately upon making select age. He is still playing up 1 or 2 age groups in Developmental Academy teams now.
U10s CANNOT play on U11 or any other competitive/select team. So U10s cannot play up period. U10 is the cutoff age though, after that - you can play up as high as you are able/have ability.
