Can my son play for other teams in June tournaments?

My son’s team is playing in a tournament in June that he does not want to play for. Can my son play with another team even if they may face his old team in the month of June?

If your son is currently on the team roster, you must ask your coach for a release to guest play with another team in June.   if he says "no" and the team is playing in a tournament, your son is restricted to playing for his current team ( you can choose not to do so. ) if the team is NOT playing in a tournament during the weekend that you want to guest play, you still must ask the coach but North Texas soccer will override his "no" and sign the release (this is a big no-no for coaches).

Your son can guest play against his current team or anyone else in the same weekend only if the coach says he can.

You can ask to guest play before June but coach has the ultimate authority.

If your son was released  from the team before April 1, you can guest with anyone who will have you now and through June and North Texas will sign the guest player form.
