For All Parents
Maybe this article written by a college soccer coach will finally end the debate...

Re: For All Parents
no surprises here.
there are several other articles on the website that are quite interesting. I'm having my academically lazy son read them! In order to play soccer in college, good grades are as important as foot skills!

For all parents, and runningscissors specifically, that is not true. Nice try, though.

Re: For All Parents
I would venture to bet College coaches go to the same amount of high school games as classic league games Lets be honest they only go when they know they can watch a lot of games. Recruitment budget is why college showcases are so important.

Re: For All Parents
I would venture to guess College coaches see more HS games than CL games .
My point is this, to say College coaches don't see HS soccer games as a blanket statement is not true. They do. I see them and talk to them every year.
I agree. Let's be honest, College Showcases are extremely important for visibility. But it isn't the only way to get there. It's up to the parents and the player to figure out what's best for them. Good luck!

Re: For All Parents
Who said the college coaches are watching CL games? College coaches go to college showcases. Regional and national championships are also another venue with coaches attending. National league games are organized within a college showcase event.
If you are not in a DA team, that's the way to get exposure. Who are the coaches that go to CL or HS games? Maybe local coaches?
