No, there are plenty of other events that are run far worse. Texas Lightning Events come to mind, particularly 2 or 3 years ago when they cancelled and kept everybody's fees for a few sprinkles, then charged people for friendlies on the same fields when the weather turned out to be beautiful.

schedules are back. some semi-finals have been moved to tomorrow.

Common sense for Classic League. Games cancelled. Good luck to those in State Cup. More info around 8am.

Games cancelled, the semis will be replayed for those games not completed, even it they were past halftime. Somebody writes the rules and can't even follow them, with the stipulation of being at their discretion. The most stupid thing is they call the next schedule group to start their games instead of finishing the ones past halftime.

did they already decide when to reschedule the games?

Whenever we have a boat big enough to play games on.

Looks like they are rescheduled for Monday and Tuesday of this week. Interesting...

Congrats to LP Rush for beating a LP Owen team in the semi-finals 2-1 that they lost to the week before 2-1. I think Owen may have run out of steam. They only had 1 or 2 subs & were missing 2 starters. Too bad because they have been 1 of the best teams since Dallas Cup. On to the finals again this year for LP Rush : )

Congrats to Solar Stricker for a 2-1 come back win over a tough Andro team that doesn't give up very many goals. Their sweeper is fun to watch! Great team goals by both teams.

Well since LP Rush & Solar are already scheduled to play a classic league game on Wednesday, why not just let that game serve as the State Cup finals too? LOL
This should be an interesting game. In my opinion these 2 teams mirror each other well. When either shows up & plays their game they are extremely hard to beat. Both play great defense in the back...fun goalies to watch. I give the edge to LP Rush in scoring ability & lock down defense...but Solar ain't no joke. This is 1 that can be a defensive battle or a complete run away if either scores early. Tough playing during the week with all the distractions. Good luck to both teams. Hopefully either should represent NTX well at Regionals. Too bad we can't send 2 teams or better yet 1 super team. Now that would be fun. I'd drive to Oklahoma to watch that!!!

Gator Chick it was an interesting game, extremely intense in the stands.  LP Rush didn't agree with many of the ref's calls.  Solar went up 1-0 on a PK what was pretty obvious but later Rush wasn't given a PK on a foul that was questionable to say the least.  The 2nd goal was by a kid who was laid out on the ground but got up & lifted a ball beautifully just over the goalie's hand.  Rush's goalie, the sweeper keeper made a beautiful save later in the game to keep it close. He came out to the 18 to challange a shot, got off the ground & headed the ball up & over to goal...amazing!!  Rushes defense in the 2nd half did a good job keeping the Solar forwards offsides, so as a whole their defense did well.  Solar's defense was stellar as usual.  They all but shut down Rush's centermid's & clamped down on their forwards until late in the game when the left forward made a horizontal run across the 12 & cut the ball back across his body into the left corner...what a shot.  This was like 2 heavy weights slugging it out.  Solar had plenty of opportunities to blow the game open but couldn't put in that 3rd & 4th goal. In the end a win is a win. Too bad someone had to lose.  Represent well at Regionals Solar Red & in San Francisco this weekend.  Good luck in Colorado LP Rush, no doubt you will show them how we do it in Texas!!  Most importantaly, enjoy the moment & have fun : ) Safe trips players & families.
