Had to travel two states away, but finally got to play!
Being tired of watching tournament after tournament become rained out, the Keller based 03 Dallas Texans coached by Jim Faber elected to travel to Wichita, KS this past weekend. The team played magnificently posting 5-2 and 4-1 wins along with a 2-2 draw in bracket play. In the finals they eventually won 4-2 in free kicks after full regulation game and two extra time periods.
The entire Mid America Cup was a great experience. The weather was great (meaning dry) and the fields were very good (meaning absolutely no standing water to be found). They provided some of the best game officiating to have been experienced by our team in quite some time. The team represented the North Texas soccer community well.
