Liverpool Rush takes D1

Congratulations to Liverpool Rush - (Fagan) taking the championship tonight with the win over Ayses. This would be the first for the boys side to win D1 Classic league title foe LP.....Well Done...

Well done in Dallas Cup too. Haha

I know I shouldn't take the bait but I have to respond to just4kickz comment.

These kids don't deserve that type of comment. They have won the league on merit beating every other team in the division, some of their close competition very comprehensively recently.

Might I remind you they also won Plano Labor Day, Texans Fall Festival as well as other traveling tournaments as recently as last weekend at Real Colorado Cup against some very good teams. Seven wins, a beaten finalist in state cup again, and Vegas Cup semi-finalist.

Every 02 Dallas team struggled in Dallas Cup. We feel privileged to have qualified for it (twice)...I hope you can say the same. Our boys will be much better prepared next season if we are lucky enough to qualify again.

Agreed. Those kids work very hard and take soccer seriously. The parents I have encountered are reasonable. Usually, when someone posts a classless remark on this website, it is intened for the parents and coach, just4kicks. If intended for the kids themselves, that is really pathetic...

Funny how everyone gets butthurt when someone talks about this team. All of these comments you guys make towards other teams & it's ok. Team takes D1 everyone jumps for joy. When this coach forfeits a game allowing other teams to benefit & others to fall, nobody bats an eye. That's Classless. D1 was watered down anyway. Truth hurts. Dallas Cup was their time to shine & didn't.

talking about coaches is certainly fair game and should be encouraged on this site. Parents could also be a subject but I would submit that if there is a good, strong coach, troublesome parents have no impact...so complaining about parents becomes either petty or another reflection of the coach. We should all refrain from negative comments that could be misunderstood as being directed at players. They are just kids. I don't know the reason for the particular forfeit you reference, but I am sure there is a good reason (team travelling or not enough players, etc.). The CL structure is in place for the benefit of training/developing kids at as high a level as possible. A legitimate coach would not forego games without a valid reason...

As I understand it, it was forfeited because Classic League was soliciting foreits from teams that wouldn't be affected.   LP Rush fit this.  CL also solicited others to forfeit and when they refused, they just cancelled the game.  This was inexcusable IMO as it affected relegation and standings for others in the middle of the pack.  I gotta say I was extremely displeased with Rush forfeiting.  

As far as Dallas Cup goes, there were some extremely good teams in competition.  While none of the NTX teams finished very well, it wasn't as if they were blown away.  My sons team did reasonable (tie and 1 point loss) with the exception of their 3rd game (3-0) loss to a superior Bethesda team.  Many of the teams participating were not everyday rostered teams and many were PA or "all star" clubs.  Just because a team didn't do well in that particular tournament doesn't take away a thing from their accomplishments.  Comments to the contrary is just sour grapes and unbecoming of an adult talking about a group of 12/13 yr old kids. Smh

No.  They didn't even play in Dallas Cup. They did win the State Cup a few weeks back.
