96 Southern Regionals Empty 96 Southern Regionals

I just checked and see that both FC Dallas and Solar are in the semi's. Along with Lonestar from Austin and a Carolinas team.
Very impressive showing for Texas, and North Texas in particular.
Good luck today to these teams.

Lonestar 96 beat Solar 96 2-0 today in the Southern Regionals, now that is impressive!
Congratulations to them, now representing Texas in tomorrow's final.

I see that both Solar and FCD loss. Too bad. But they both should be proud of a good run in a tough tournament. Let's hope the Lonestars team brings it home for Texas.

From what I understand, the South Texas teams pick new teams in May for the following season and they have the opportunity to load up on "skill" players for these tournaments. Not saying that is what the Lonestars did but it would be interesting to see if there roster changed much in the last 3 months.

Lonestars really didnot need to pick up any one. They were good from the start.

I think the point is that both FCD and Solar beat Lonestar during Premier League earlier this year - fairly easily if I recall. So relative to these NTX teams they have improved one way or the other.

We didn't see any difference in Lonestars at Regionals, they looked like the same team and most of our kids know each other. My husband and I saw them play on the fields right next to us. I believe it's the same team we played in Premiere League. They looked very good and its always a toss up between the top teams in NTX and South TX, any one can beat anyone at any given time.
