Latest on The Chosen One

It may be just a rumor, but I heard The Chosen One signed with Shalke FC in Germany. For those of you who don't know Weston, he is the most athletically gifted youth soccer player I have ever seen. At 10 years old, he could easily have played and dominated U12. It was great that bb got to play on the same team with him in the youth academy days.

1. Weston McKennie - McKennie is the most MLS-ready guy in the FCD Academy in my opinion. The center midfielder has captained FCD and U.S. national youth teams for years. Most recently, he was named the Player of the Tournament as the US U-19s defeated Russia to win the Slovakia Cup. McKennie's tied for the lead in goals (ten) for the FCD U-18s with forward Giovanni Montesdeoca. He's also a great guy and fits the FCD mold perfectly. Think Acosta, except he's more of an attacker. McKennie is currently committed to play at Virginia, but that could change should FCD look to add a Homegrown or two this summer.

Sorry to correct you but it's FC Schalke 04. If it is true it would be great for him. Schalke has one of the best academies in Germany. Three of the current Euro roster are homegrown Schalke players, Draxler (22), Höwedes (28) and Sane (20).

well that's great especially for the kids who played against him and maybe it will show coaches on the MNT who the real talent is
