U11 Classic D1

The LP Owen and FCD Youth rematch should be a great one to watch. These teams are now legit rivals. I'm gonna make it my business to go and watch. FCD has beaten LP in both of their recent matchups (King Tut, Classic QT), so LP Owen should be very aggressive in this one. I don't anticipate any punches thrown, but I fully expect the refs to be busy sorting through the physicality of it all. The Parents and Coaches might be another issue. I won't even bring a seat, just in-case it gets testy on the sidelines and a rapid exit becomes necessary..lol

The league should make sure they have their best refs on this one.

Week 1- I was surprised that 7 of 10 week 1 matchups were decided by 1 goal or less in QT (1 tie). I don't think as many games will be as close this weekend as the mental and physical fatigue won't have as great an effect.

I see the schedules are out. Seems that Classic league is not seeding for league play. Many of the top 10 teams play each other this Fall. I was under the impression the top 10 would play the bottom 10 in the Fall and then the top 10 would play each other in the Spring. Oh well, in the end everyone plays everyone by the end of the year. I think there will be at least 2 shutouts in this group. Both McKinney and Texans Dallas went through QT without giving up a goal. I predict, FCD Academy, Texans Dallas and McKinney all get shutouts this weekend. But I have no idea what the final scores will be.

I watched every second of the last LP Owen - FCDY match. Owen will look like a the better, more skilled team, just like last time, but FCDY has gotten in their head. LP Owen will spend too much effort and energy trying to rough-up/pay back FCDY and not enough on moving the ball around and wearing out FCDY. LP Owen's parents will start screaming from the opening touch and the refs won't appreciate that (which means they won't get many close calls). Result - FCDY beats LP Owen for a third time.

Okay I'm in. Here's what I'm thinking. 3 points for correctly predicting Win or Tie. 1 point for the correct score. 1 point for correct point spread. So each game is worth a max 5 points.

All submissions due an hour before the 1st game of the weekend. In case of rainout/reschedule original prediction applies. I'm looking for participation so for anyone that misses more than 1 week I'm not going to track their predictions.

LOLZ. This is both an oxymoron and a fantasy. Thinking that Classic League has a crew that it would consider "best" is the oxymoron. Thinking that they'd put them on a U11 match is a fantasy.
