Texans Fall Festival
Hat's off to the FC Dallas Academy they came, they saw, they conquered! There were a few decent games this weekend, and a couple of disappointments as teams tried to qualify for the Dallas Cup. Surprised Odyssey & Castro did not enter needing to earn a place, Ayses looked overwhelmed. In the end the top four entered made the semi final. A very close game between OKC and Texans South ended 1-0 and could have went either way. FCDA had a big scare from Solar and could have been 1-0 Solar in the first half FCDA could not handle Solar's constant pressure. The game was 0-0 with 10 minutes left when a very nice header from FCDA who added a second goal with the last kick. We are proud of our boys, Solar played their last group game just over an hour before the semi final it was FCDA first game of the day scheduling was a little off. The final was a little lackluster some tired legs 4-1 FCD over OKC. Overall FCDA deserved to win it!

Solar Sawyer vs FCD Academy - Part II
Coming to a field near you this weekend......
Looks like these two teams will meet again in Round 1 at the Bobby Rhine this coming weekend. This will be game 2 for both teams, and the first game for each of them Saturday morning at 10:30 am, so Sawyer won't have tired legs(or excuses) this time around. Any predictions on this one?
FCD Academy will have to beat Sawyer, Stricker and Castro if they want to win the tournament this weekend. (just making a few assumptions of course)

Ody had SRPL originally scheduled that weekend I believe and was unable to get into red flight by the time that SRPL conflict had gone away. Castro was in NC.

Dude has some point. I looked at TFF schedule out of curiosity on Sat, don't give a crap who wins what...and first thing that came to mind was that the Texans gave FCD Academy an unsolicited handie on the playoff schedule at the expense of everyone else (including Texans South).
I suspect FCD DA would win vs everybody anyhow, last week and next...but Hassan might need a lesson in home cooking.

Re: Texans Fall Festival
I haven't heard any excuses from Solar Sawyer. Both teams played hard. Both teams had their chances to score. FCD took advantage of theirs and Solar did not. That's the end game. Should be a great re-match. I look forward to it. Can Solar keep up the intensity the whole game ? Can FCD keep up with Solar's speed? Not making any bold predictions here but anything can happen. That's why they play the games right?

Past instances would suggest that one safe assumption is that FCD El Paso is gonna look pretty mature. I imagine they will have a say in who is playing who down the line.
