Quality of league play?

I recently heard that some coaches were disappointed at the quality of teams from outside Texas in the Academy League. How about some opinions from those whose bbs are playing? I don't know much about it and am truly curious as to the quality of the league.

The quality of north Texas U16 teams looks slightly better than the top tier, pre-Academy, D1 Classic League teams from which they were born. Within Texas the results indicate a good level of competition with a fair parity. Nationally, the results of the winter showcase reveal north Texas teams giving better than they got, but none winning all their games. The few out-of state teams I have seen play here locally were good, not great, but good.

I don't recall any North Texas teams winning an Academy League championship last year, so, if coaches are saying that maybe they should bring back a trophy first.

Okay nutt, I think the reference has to do with the other 99% of the games played within the AD region. It may be a fact, but not much that can be done. I'm sure the concentration of talent in the NE and SoCAL regions makes for a better situation, which is why you see these teams dominating the AD.
