Agree it matters little where they are ranked at this point. We have all seen a kid at 7 be quite the player and then at the age of 12 based on burn out or body changes they no longer are close to the top.

I do like tournaments for one reason. It gets the team/players a number of games in a short period of time. Plus the mental development. Exposing a 7 year old to that many games in a short time period plus exposing them to the mental side of tournaments is a good thing. In addition if it allows them to play against a higher caliber of players then can be very good for their development.

But to enter a tournament just for results purposes at this age is the wrong mindset. Emphasis should be on fun aspect of a tournament.

How is marcio so far? Everything u expected? Who were you with prior to marcio?

Marcio has been really quite amazing. Many know him for his "tough love" with his older kids, but I doubt many have had the chance to see him interact with little ones. He seems to be truly enjoying himself getting back to the early development phase. His excitement at getting them this young is infectious, and, most importantly, the boys are having a blast.

I know many were skeptical when it first came to light that he was going to do this, but he actually had been mulling it over for quite a while. This just seemed the right time. Starting with him this young, I have no doubt, will produce some amazing results.

Who was ur BB with before marcio?

He is one of the two that left Solar Dynamo but did not go with PP.

Texans Red South is not the Texans South. They are not as strong as the Texans South. I would expect Odyssey to win this. It gets confusing when they all have the same name.

I have not heard this, but would be interested. How many SDL teams are playing tournaments in May and June?

Most are playing in tournaments - the challenge always is which one? TFC will be play in their own TFC tournament in May, then you have the Primetime tournament in May (also the championship in mid May), GLASA has several tournaments now that have opened to 04s playing 7v7. But with so many different options and only 8 or 9 top teams at this age level it can be really hit or miss on the quality of the tournament depending how many of the 8 or 9 play.

Solar Red Oglesby will be in several tournaments. Don't know the exact make-up for the team during the tournaments as some of the kids play baseball and there will be conflicting tournaments for sure. Hope to see some of the SDL teams in the tournaments.

I would imagine that all teams that have qualified for the Cup Championship Primetime Tournament the weekend of May 13th will play. Hope to see alot of the SDL teams playing the tournaments this summer as well as some new teams.

I watched an amazing game today before my kids game

Texans (arturo's) vs Solar (Farley). Texans won 4 to 2, but it was 2 to 2 with 6 mins left to go. Both teams played with such heart and skill. Both coaches should be commended for the work they are doing with those boys. First time I have seen someone challenge the Texans this year.

Anyone else have any scores?

Anyone know the score between Solar Farley and Chelsea Cavillo.

Solar Kenninton played Chelsea this week and it was a tie someone said either 3 to 3 or 4 to 4.

Densk appears to have a new goalie. Kid's huge, should make a big difference for them, he was the difference on Sunday.

2nd game this season with that ref. 2nd time this season I've left Blue Sky questioning what the hell we've signed up for.

Which re was it? Was he older and grey hair?

No. I think I know the one you are referring to. He, IMO, is at least consistent in NOT calling anything; but he is capable of telling who the ball goes off of when it goes out of bounds.

This ref is tall, dark haired and heavy set (being polite) and brings his S.O. to sit with him between games.

Thanks BUnited. So I got confirmation from our coach today that Farley (Solar Coach) is organizing with all the top coaches and put a league together that starts at BlueSky right after SDL and Primetime ends (mid April to mid June). My BB's coach told me that the following teams are confirmed

Liverpool 04 (Fagen)
Leite United (Marcio)
Solar (Farley)
Solar (Kenninton)
Solar Red (Oglesby) - they and Texans South are the top teams from grapevine/keller area

They are still waiting from TFC Volcan, Dyanamo (Preston), and Texans South. Apparently Texans Densk said no.

This should be a lot of fun and a great idea to see the top teams play week in and week out. If your BB plays for one of those teams tell them to join!
