anyone else tired and suspicious when you play a team and they have kids who are obviously older than your kids or 6 inches taller or 15 pounds heavier than your biggest kid. pathetic and you know the clubs are in on the fraud, guess as long as you can produce that mexican birth certificate every thing is ok huh.....

I have seen this before, the deal is an older hispanic sibling will use his younger siblings birth certificate, all the hispanic clubs have one or two that do it, you should check out the 00 CD Chivasanselansel wrote:anyone else tired and suspicious when you play a team and they have kids who are obviously older than your kids or 6 inches taller or 15 pounds heavier than your biggest kid. pathetic and you know the clubs are in on the fraud, guess as long as you can produce that mexican birth certificate every thing is ok huh.....

You don't trust a U13 just because he drives himself to the games?!

If his birth certificate is not good enough for you, what would you propose?

Re: let's see the birth certificate please
A us birth certificate to start with not a Tijuana one purchased for 12.95 on the Internet and a deeper investigation if there was any suspicion. Then a suspension of some sort against the club and coach, how's that? Cheating is cheating and should be punished

I was referring to sdl but I am sure that the same nonsense goes on in tournaments if not worse.

Re: let's see the birth certificate please
Maybe mandated ID cards with actual photos of the child and a NTSA team roster? CFBSA does this and they are a Recreational league.
There should also be a Roster check prior to each game....

Re: let's see the birth certificate please
Oh sorry thought you were from a local tourney today. The slightly taller boy actually had the least amt. of goals today. Also if anyone has ever noticed it does seem to happen that the Hispanic male pop mature earlier and faster than other races. ie hair on the upperlip, taller, deeper voice, stronger. But when 16-18 y/o rolls around it seems to level out.

Geesh I wish someone had told me it was only Mexicans when all these years I've been wondering about 6'3" U12 white boys. After all when my oldest was 5'11" at 11 years old any kid who was bigger must have had a fake BC. Yes, truly pathetic.

Nice display of racism. Good job. I bet I can purchase a US one...but it might cost $13.95.anselansel wrote:A us birth certificate to start with not a Tijuana one purchased for 12.95 on the Internet and a deeper investigation if there was any suspicion. Call me a racist (although anyone that knows me would chuckle), but I know of at least two Mexican players that are currently on SDL D1 teams that are playing out of age group - neither of them team standouts. But, frankly, who cares? This is time for player development, so it hurts nobody and when games start mattering (U14+), those kids will have washed out anyway.

Re: let's see the birth certificate please
first off, little johnny can compete quite nicely when he doesn't have to play against kids 2-3 years older and adults who are content with corruption. second, i spoke to people who ARE mexican and they said it is a common practice and birth certificates ( as well as other documents) are easily forged in mexico. What is a forged birth certificate when you are working under assumed social security numbers etc. So stick your racism charge in your ear and wake up to reality.

Re: let's see the birth certificate please
I have actually been on both sides of this coin. We have a 182 lb/ 5’07 Hispanic boy in a U-14 league. And we are constantly being questioned about his age and I too have been told that the "Hispanic’s are notorious for falsifying birth certificates" but I stopped that one in his tracks the ones with the other country birth certificates are the smallest ones on the team. Our Hispanic boys were born right here in Dallas. If you have an issue just talk to the coach or manager and if they are on the up and up they will have no issues telling you or showing you the truth.

If you (and ansel) truly know of such an issue, then report them to the NTX soccer office. This is a serious violation, which (if proven) results in a 1-yr or more ban from all soccer activities for the players, coaches, and others who knowingly allowed this to happen. If you know of a violation, then it is your obligation to report them. If you do not report them, then stop complaining.

First, I wasn't complaining. On the contrary, I just said "Who cares."
Second, it is not my responsibility to be the NTX soccer cop. If they want to clean this up, they have the authority and wherewithall to do it themselves if they think it's a real problem.
With that said,I agree with those that state that the boys are learning life lessons as well which is why my bb is not playing on the teams and with the coaches that allow this to knowingly happen.

5'7" in U14? that isn't so unusual is it? We were in tournament against an out of state team that had a couple of 5'10" kids in U13. Anyway, a plague on any parents who play their kids down.
