8-5A Standings

Congrats to Allen for going from a bubble team a few weeks ago to the district runner-up. After more craziness in 8-5A last night, here are the regular season final standings with points for the top 5. Shown as W-L-T with 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.

Plano 8-2-4 with 20 points
Allen 7-2-5 with 19 points
Marcus 7-3-4 with 18 points
Flo Mo 6-3-5 with 17 points
Hebron 7-4-3 with 17 points

Only 3 points seperate the top 5 teams!!
As CH1 said, there is a play-in Friday with Flo Mo vs Hebron.

Where is the play-in game going to be held? Should be good viewing.

PLANO V. KELLER/GUYER (depends on Thursday game)

FMHS vs Hebron 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 30.

Max Goldsmith Stadium, Lewisville High School.

SL Carroll v FM Marcus a rematch of last year's 1st round match that was tied throughout the match and ended up with Carroll winning in the shootout. IIRC, Gall changed the GK for the shootout cold off the bench and paid for it. SL keeper from last year is in Academy now, I think.

to make things worse....the first playoff games are scheduled same time as Dallas Cup...so we will not see teams at their full strenght, then if they make it to Regionals they have to choose club vs HS for the weekend.....

Bi-district is April 2-3, area is April 5-7. By the time they hit regional the DC is over.

Hebron/FM V. Coppell (if Hebron wins then it’s a rematch too!)

Plano v. Guyer isn't a rematch from last year. This is Guyer's 1st year to make playoffs in 5A.

Hebron 2 - Flo Mo 1. Very good game, it's a shame someone had to lose.

Keller 2 Allen 0. Keller faces winner of Trinity / Mansfield.

SL Carroll 2 - FM Marcus 1 (dribble-ups)

I also saw Coppell lost to Hebron. I guess there is something to be said for being "playoff ready" vs. coasting into the playoffs.

Anyone know the Plano/Guyer score?

I believe Plano/Guyer is tonight at the colony.

I think the biggest surprise to me was hearing that Coppell lost last night.... still shaking my head...

We are sure gonna try! But they are the defending state champions so it will be a tough game for sure!!!!!! Speaking of the fans, I was tickled at the support that night!

This has been a great year for the Richland Rebels. They have a good group of young men that are dedicated and disciplined. That goes a long way! Very excited to see them play. GO REBELS!
