Andromeda FC 01 Pre Academy
Andromeda FC is going to start holding tryouts/practices for their 20001 Pre Academy team. If you are interested in playing Pre Academy soccer or want to learn more about the program feel free to come out Saturday May 12th between 9am - 11am at Soccer Spectrum in Richardson. More information on tryouts for all Pre Academy teams will be available on the web site soon. If you have questions please contact Mike Uremovich or Jon Patterson. Their contact information is on the Andromeda FC website.

Re: Andromeda FC 01 Pre Academy
Anyone know the rules on this stuff since most players already are "under contract" with another club? Can they go to these "tryouts/practices" without violating the contract? (Making your current coach mad is a problem I am setting aside for the moment).

Re: Andromeda FC 01 Pre Academy
my understanding is that you can go to try-outs for PA without approval of your coach unless you are already in a PA team. Only in that case you do need a release.

Re: Andromeda FC 01 Pre Academy
From the TEPAL Rules:
2.13 Recruiting; Try-Outs; Registration.
2.13.1 Recruiting; No-Tampering. TEPAL Clubs may recruit players for participation
on TEPAL Teams from any geographic region at any time during the year
(subject to these Regulations). Notwithstanding the foregoing, TEPAL Clubs
may not train or tryout a player from a TEPAL Team of another TEPAL Club
during the TEPAL Season until all games of that TEPAL Club for the TEPAL
Season have been completed, except pursuant to Rule 2.13.2 below. Note:
TEPAL coaches and administrators may be subject to the rules of other U.S.
Soccer organization members regarding recruiting.
2.13.2 Try-Outs; Registration. The month of June shall be considered an “open”
month for player movement between TEPAL Clubs. During this month, players
from one TEPAL Team may train or try-out with teams of another TEPAL Club.
No roster for any TEPAL Team for the upcoming TEPAL Season will be
accepted by US Club Soccer prior to July 1.
As long as you have not been rostered by another Pre Academy team, you are free to tryout at any time.

My understanding is you can not play PA for Andromeda and play for another club team in classic league.

Re: Andromeda FC 01 Pre Academy
Just had this passed down from one of the leaders at Andromeda. FYI......
The 4 Academy clubs/pre academy clubs (Texans, Solar, FC Dallas, Andromeda) have agreed that players on any of our rosters CANNOT come out for another one of our teams until June 1st.
Thanks,

Wow, if this involved employees it would be a clear violation of the antitrust laws -- the four largest clubs agreeing not to poach each other's players. But since it involves kids and parents paying thousands of dollars a year, I guess these clubs think they can do whatever they want!

American capitalism at work. Aka collusion, aka Oligopoly.
Totally not a fan of Select soccer and in it grudgingly, so hoping for the day the coach kicks my son out, so I can be relieved of this phony soccer in DFW (talking about the money the clubs charge and the politics, not the kids or the training )

Re: Andromeda FC 01 Pre Academy
That is not the plan at Andromeda. I believe at the 01 level there will be 14 extra games in TEPAL. (spread out over the year on Sunday's) My understanding is at Andromeda the boys will continue to practice with their regular team twice a week. Then when there is a TEPAL game they will have an extra practice or two. Mike Uremovich with Andromeda would be happy to give you an idea of his vision for the boys. He will be at the training tonight if you are interested.
JJ Pearce in Richardson
6:30 - 8pm main field

Thanks,
So funny, Last year the Coaches sold PA as being more meaningful training with less games
Just as Reyna has said in his curriculum for USSF.
Now, they are saying less training, but 14 MORE games.
??????? Which is it?
