Looks like rosters are starting to get updated on GotSoccer. Looks like a lot of movement this year so far.

My son has moved on and won't be playing in DFW this season in order to pursue an opportunity that doesn't come along every day.

That said, I really think Solar has augmented their squad impressively picking up at least 1 and potentially 2 very solid keepers (a need the team had last season) as well as augmenting their defensive backfield (the other real need the team had). They held on to their better forwards and midfield from last season though one of their better players (who played both forward and midfield positions) was moved to Max's Solar Chelsea 95b Red team and another speedy forward is only playing DA this coming season, otherwise the offense is back and was augmented with a few strong additions. Defensively, it looks like they picked up a lot of former ODY players and that can be nothing but encouraging as ODY, when that team was playing well, had an incredibly stingy defense. I'd be very surprised if Max wasn't challenging DTR and FCD Premier for Grand Champions next season.

Tournaments start soon, it'll be interesting to see how teams gel with the player movement that took place. Teams that develop chemistry faster will likely get out of the gates with wins and that will help down the road.

And though my son won't be playing this year, I'm actually looking forward to coming out and catching some games. Especially since I need to start scouting coaches for my younger son.

Oh yeah... here are the U17 PL teams in order of seeding.

1. TFC 96 Boys - Puskarich
2. DTR South - Adames
3. FCD Premier - Dymond
4. DTW West - Sadjady

Where's DTR, and why aren't they seeded #1?

CL ended like this:
1. DTR
2. TFC
3. DTR South
4. ODY
5. FCD
6. DTW West

DTR and ODY are conspicuously missing from the PL.

That would be the Premier League West. There is Premier League West, Central, and East. They are feeder leagues to the Southern Premier League. Ody earned a bye into the Southern Premier League by winning PLW last year. DTR chose to not play PLW.

Give me DTR South; they picked up some talent that was not in D1 last year. All the coach needs to do is not screw it up.

DTWW has flare, creativity, and a state cup championship to defend. Haven't heard much about their new players though.

DTR picked some new players, but the talent level is the same as last year. No infusion of flare or creativity, just big and fast. You can say that about most D1 teams.

FCD is the wild card; no one really knows what they are.

TFC held tight but that's not saying much. Losing in state cup to a D2 team had to raise some red flags... maybe it's not that big of a deal.

Solar got ODY players but they let some of their own talent go. If it wasn't for the ODY kids jumping the shark, Solar recruiting would have been poor again. This coach was given a D1 Solar team and can't finish top 5... something is wrong here.

ODY picked up players from all over the place. There was a Plano team (Fusion) that took players over, I'm sure the Plano ODY team brought players too. Things are going to tough for these guys.

American Eagles can't find players... wonder what the deal is with that group. I've heard coach issues, others say parent issues. Either way, they'll struggle to keep their head above relegation.

Lighting & FCD... good teams from D2 that can finish ahead of ODY and Eagles. They can give Solar a scare also. Not sure if they can claim the ladder any higher

I hate to say it but my money is on Red-I think anyone will be lucky to get a goal on them.

The only change I would make is that I wouldn't put DT as 1-2-3, but I would definitely put them all in the top 6.

Picked up 10 D1 players that have played together for 1 to 6 yearsfrom a team that was the hottest team in this age group one year ago. They placed 2nd among the big 4 that got wiped out by DA. Fared much better than FCD and Andromeda in rebuilding.

They will struggle. FCD. Premier cleaned house for DA players and others. Premier players got pushed to this team. Blow up a successful D2 team to fill it from one that was almost relegated?.

Interesting, just looked at the schedules for Southern Premier League and there are only 3 North Texas teams participating in U15 - U18 and none in the U17 age group. Not sure what Odyssey has been saying, but they are not participating in Southern Premier League.

Dang Flatback, you have some serious hate for DTR working on this thread. It looks to me like ODY probabaly made a good decision not going PL since they are a new team. As for DTR, my guess is that they are planning to spend their travel dollars on going to places like NC, FL, CA and NV for major showcases instead of going to Tulsa, Houston or Austin.
